or something similar?AFL doubles amount of sponsors at the expense of NRL
this is being addressed as we speak. http://www.theage.com.au/AFL/AFL-news/o ... 2a3lq.htmlStriker wrote:Only because you lot need it to match your out of control spending!!Beaussie wrote:That's already the case dumbarse.ParraEelsNRL wrote:Yep that's it.

Thats all that really needs to happen. More evenly share the spoils of the rich clubs. As if Collingwood need 75 Million a year. If they shared their gate receipts for games the poorer clubs would get an instant cash injection.Striker wrote:As if that's going to make any difference!
i never said they were. But they have a presence in every state which the nRL certainly does not. They are number 1 on TV, crowds, memberships, media, money, everything.Striker wrote:They are not number one in New South Wales and Queensland! Look at the number of clubs for the codes huh? That's prospering? HAH!
and the AFL have 4 teams in these states. The AFL have 1 in AFL statesStriker wrote:Where is 55 percent of the population? New South Wales and Queensland. That's good enough for us for now with Melbourne and NZ represented as well. All we need is a better TV deal and we can expand!

Either way the AFL are well aware of the issue and will ensure the game prospers. Theyre not the number one league and sport in the country for nothing
well given I dont work for the AFL, or have access to their details, thats likely true. However the AFL do and have dealt extremely well with their finances before. I see no reason to think this wont continue.King-Eliagh wrote:Xman and the AFL's understanding of clubs and competition for the dollar is astoundingly simple
