The nRL isn't big compared to the AFL though. McLachlan would get more recognition in his current role at the AFL than he would if he was CEO of poor man's rugby in this country.

He'd have been known in more than 3 states world wide if he went to the NRL.

Oh, and that poors mans Rugby just happens to be the biggest and richest Rugby comp on Earth.

She does however point out that Karmichael Hunt loves playing in the AFL and has had a pretty good season unlike Israel who has proven Australian Football is a game that ain't as easy as RL types like to make out. ACT like union more than poor man's rugby anyway. A bit like Brisbane do these days. The AFL could set up a team in the ACT and once they get some success, it would be bigger than league and the Raiders (not like that's hard though, GWS already beat them in crowds).
