It's a bit early to compare the Wanderers to the Midgets to be honest. I'd like to see what the averages are like at the end of the A-League season.

But yeah the Midgets look like $hit against the others! (the Raiders don't count and neither does the Storm for the morons who keep bringing them up!).

Why dont the raiders count because it doesnt suit your argument.Same goes for storm.GWS are here same as the gold coast and they are here to stay.Get used to it.And maybe when the NRL gets some big boy pants they can try to expand where the going is tough. How many decades before we see an NRL derby in Melbourne.lol I predict within five years massive finals between QLD and Sydney clubs.Something that is truly a pipe dream for the narrow minded sydneycentric rabble that controls league

What has Sydney suburb got to do with the argument. Are you suggesting the AFL have it easier in Sydney than the NRL have got it in Canberra. What a joke. The NRL spin machine(masters and co) have taken upon themselves the NRL cause.Which means no sporting club bringing so much benifit to a region has ever been smashed like the GWS. Theyll ride the storm striker and Ill bet whatever you want they outlive that old paranoid ***** Masters.

This thread is about Sydney in case you missed it. Not Canberra. Not Melbourne. Not anywhere else.

The thread is about expansion striker so lets compare apples with apples. The AFL out of all three footy codes would have the least support in western sydney but the difference being they have the most money.Comparison to Melbourne is probably most apt. Same level of care. So it will be interesting after 4 flags multiple finals appearances and the games best players if they can average more than 12000.My money is on the giants rather than the embassment most Melbournians feel for the storm

Read the thread title again, and realise that this thread is NOT about expansion! It's about local support in Sydney. Are we clear now?

Sydney is expansion for the AFL how do you separate one from the other within debate . If you want to take the thread title literally then its a statement and a pretty obvious one at that. May as well start a thread NRL last for support in Melbourne. Captain fukin obvious.

Well the NRL isn't! The only reason it appears that way is because the Victory have access to Etihad! If they were restricted like we are we'd be ahead of the A-League! The Storm is ahead of the Heart anyway, and they play at AAMI Park as well!!

The Midgets are last for support in Sydney. Concentrate on that, and accept it as fact.

So on your logic the Giants should be ahead of all nRL teams but theyre restricted to a smaller stadium which affects their crowds..... :D

Personally I think the AFL might have made a mistake putting the giants in both West Sydney and Canberra. It should have been one or the other. I think this will probabaly change after the Canberra contract is up.

The contract has 9 years to go and a lot can happen in that 9 years. The Giants playing games in Canberra was a good deal for the AFL and GWS as the ACT Govt are paying them $26 million odd over the 10 years to play games there. If in 5 years GWS are playing good footy and are finals bound, there's no doubt they will sell out Manuka Oval. Once the contract expires, GWS should have enough sustainable support in western Sydney and won't need Canberra for home games and extra $, so the AFL could schedule the Giants to play away games there against the likes of the Western Bulldogs like the Swans used to.
