Haha, great find Drac! =D>

Since that article was published...
United, gone.
Blaze, gone.
Titans, $30 million debt. Will be gone in 5 years.
Suns, will only get bigger as they start to win more games =D>

It's simple really. Australian Football is just a more entertaining sport than the rest.

There is something that can't be denied, and that is that Parramatta is the third biggest business base in the country behind the CBD of Sydney and Melbourne. That will logically attract sponsors and big bucks. All the Eels have to do to sttract them is perform on the field. Stuart is a great pick up as coach and if they have the personnel they could be a threat to the yardstick of the NRL; The Storm.

Their biggest hold up though is Parramatta Stadium. It needs a boost in capacity. Meanwhile, they should play all their big drawing games at ANZ (Broncos, Bulldogs and Bunnies and maybe Panthers as the local derby). With all that in place there's no reason why they couldn't match the pulling power of Collingwood. It's a big task for sure but it's not impossible. After all Collingwood have only won two premierships in the last fifty years.

Collingwood has the third highest home attendance in the WORLD.Best Parra aim for my beloved Kangaroos first. And considering this year we pulled 28 thousand to a fremantle game on a sunday in melbourne I would suggest that aint gonna happen quickly.

Why would Parramatta Stadium need a boost in capacity when the Eels never sell it out anyway?

A bigger stadium would attract more people.

You heard nothing of the sort! ANZ is a unique stadium that might have unique issues, but that is overcome by putting the best games there! When SOO is played in Sydney they don't play it anywhere else but ANZ!

Can you explain the abysmal crowds for the Sydney Roosters at the 45k capacity SFS that many league fans regard as one of the best RL stadiums in the country?

When you have 12,000 people attending a 30,000 seat stadium, the issue isn't a lack of seats....

Both of you, the problem is that they are $hit venues! When I mentioned "exposure" I meant to the weather! That's why AAMI Park isn't much better than Olympic Park. Allianz has the same problem. When it rains there's nowhere to hide! Now that wouldn't have happened with AAMI Park if we'd got our way with the 50,000 seat stadium as originally planned before Doyle stuffed with it!

You mean like the MCG, Footy park, Kardinia park, GABBA, WACA, Subiaco, and MCG?

Shocking excuse making!

The G murders AAMI Park because it's better designed to protect people from the elements! I can't comment on the others because I've never been to them but I'll bet it's the same thing.

How is it better? Some seats are protected from rain and wind. Many are not. Seriously, RL fans have made excuses for non attendance for years. But thats all they are, excuses. The only real reason should be "I cant afford it" or "I cant get in because its full". Neither of those apply to RL.
