Ahhh no. Why would an AFL player change from a code that is far better paid and regularly performs in front of excellent crowds to a game that is paid poorly by comparison and in front of horrible crowds?

Don't RL regularly poach union players?

Lol your getting more desperate by the minute keep it coming....
Yeah its good of you to notice that little indiscretion Pies. :D
I can almost be certain that if the NRL poached an AFL star in Melbourne for a new NRL team, the Melbourne media would go a on frenzy and run the New team out of town. Then imagine NRL shoving league down the good people of say Collingwood, Geelong or Richmond and see what sort of reaction you get.???

Xman knows nada about RL eels. He even stated that as a fact in his early days on this forum. Therefore every single word he says about the game is utterly definitive of illegitimate. He's a complete joke, a farce, the village idiot personified, a complete hoot for all to point and laugh at.

Yeah that Darren Lockyler was no good when he switched from Aussie rules.

Did he play marngrook did he? To what level? I'm talking about elite level here pies. They are poached from the NRL but never the other way round. Superb athletes they are.

Some are some arnt. I Saw a player with a spare tyre attached to his chest the other day I think he played for the Canterbury bulldogs. My point is that some of them are there because they a big fat blokes who are there to block and tackle.

Are you calling the fatties not athletes? They're more than just large and fatty. Extremely muscular and built they are too. Many olympic weight lifters have similar physiques, are they not athletes? I say lets not narrow our definition of what is and what isnt an elite athlete. We'd simply be feeding peanuts to the narrow minded folk running round these halls if we did that pies. The objective here is to open the minds of beaussie, xman and tlpg (although i think the latter two have their brains chained and padlocked within a safe the world bank would marvel at...there may be no hope for them

but thats the objective

)

Some of the NRL players are borderline obese. They're there for grunt power but would be lucky to run the length of the field twice.

I'd bet the majority of RL forwards them could blitz you and some AFL players over 100metres Xman.

You'd be very surprised.

Josh fraser, you seen him with a full head of steam? Pacey...not!
And there's plenty more like him in the AFL comp, and plenty of forwards who'd whip him over 100 in the NRL comp

How the hell would you know how fast he can run let alone comparing to others?
Many RL forwards look incapable of running 100mtrs

Ah I've watched him play. And he's a slow knobbly kneed coach that one.
To your eyes the RL forwards may look slow but your eyes have never tuned to RL, hence they're 'illegitimate'

Next you'll be booking people for speeding because it looked like they were going fast!

Ruckmen dont need speed although some such as Natanui and Hampson would run a very good 100m time. I assume that most of the RL props are the same.
