there were about 12,000 members or paying members of the public at yesterdays game
about 4000 more then the Thuns
who in reality after the fudging is ignored like it should .... had only 8000 at their game
Titans in front already

After giving thousands of free tickets away, reportedly up to 11k, the titans could only achieve a crowd of 14k. From many reports a significant proportion of the crowd were bulldog fan's. So in reality the titans crowd was probably about the same 10k as usual.
They can't even give their tickets away to the locals now. No surprise given the centre of excrement has sent a fair few of the local tradesmen broke.

about 3000 given away .... as everyone else at last weeks game was a member
14500 at the ground
a clear victory any way you look at it to the Titans
& wasn't it a gutsy performance to against a leading side
in stark contrast to the insipid .. heartless ... weak effort from the thuns in front of 8000 people at metricon
thuns ..... gone

12k suns crowd, not 8k. Youre mixing the suns up with the titans well known tactic of creative crowd accounting.

So, the best available ticket at a aims game is 59 dollars which is the same as the titans package. The titan had more people at the game and this is a problem because. Great post dumbo. Do some research before posting dribble and before you and all your mates go on about the free tickets again, it has already been noted that a good chunk of the tickets given out were to members

Mate forgive my ignorance but if they were already members why would they need tickets?

exactly
so this assertion that 11K were given away to those who attended the week befores game
is ludicrous when 7500 of that 11,000.......... were members
Titans 1
Thuns 0
:D

The fact is they gave away tickets, plus had a significant proportion of dogs fans in the crowd, yet still only got 14k at the game (rubbish anyway when you look at the empty seats). Essentially they got the same low figure of titans fans as normal despite free tickets on offer.

XMAN: milznjim got it, why are you so confused.
So now you are claiming that the crowd was mainly dogs fans, it would seem you’re a little confused and contradicting yourself. I am sure the dogs fans would not have been at the game when the free tickets were given away.
Based on your comment, there would have been 7.5K of members and a good chunk of bulldogs of the crowd. If there were say 2k free ticket holders then that would make the crowds around the same for paying customers at both codes game. Given I have proven above that Suns are selling discount tickets at cheaper price than the paying Titan fans, essentially the Titans got better numbers and profit then the Suns. So you’re saying the Suns are even more pathetic. Well Done
Given the Suns are only in their second year, people should be excited to get to the Suns games. AFL are paying millions of dollars for the 3 ranked Australian RL player, they are throwing millions of dollars at the Suns and additional advertisement. I would suggest it is the Suns crowds that are really looking pathetic.
Lastly your comment about the crowd being bulldogs, I really think you are looking silly here as the majority of the Suns home crowd numbers are expat VIC/SA/WA or games moved to the Gabba to pick up Lions supporters.
E.g
- Metricon Stadium recorded its biggest ever figure when 23,302 people watched the Suns tackle defending premiers Collingwood in Round 18 of the 2011 AFL season,
- Gold Coast debuted in Round 2 on 2 April 2011 against Carlton at the Gabba in front of a crowd of 27,914

The suns tickets may be cheaper but so are their overheads due to a better stadium deal. So the suns would most likely have been better off.
My point was not to suggest the titans crowd was poor because of a fair proportion of dogs fans. Having a reasonable proportion of away team attendance is a good thing, but sadly lacking in most MRL games it appears. My point was that if you take the dogs fans out of the equation the number of titans fans was still around 10-11k despite free tickets on offer.
