NRL - copying the AFL again! What's new!?

Xman, the AFL ran the system that the NRL just dumped from 1994 to 1999. The AFL started the current system in 2000.

The NRL actually have never used the actual eight that the AFL currently use. They used it partly in their finals in 1998 when they ran a top ten. I think that's why I got mixed up thinking that the AFL had copied the NRL. Reality is, the NRL will be using the AFL version of the eight for the first time in 2012. The NRL copied the original final eight system from the AFL as well.

And it was the ARL that used it in 1995 and 1996. There was no NRL in those years IIRC.
