The first practice match yep, and more than 4 proper season games of NRL last year. And best of all, in Sydney, the centre of NRL heartland.

didn't know the NAB cup were practice matches
oh thats right
they're not ...........

You didn't know because you have NFI
They are used by all clubs as practice and preparation for the season proper. No teams take it personally. Even GWS benched all their senior players in the last half against collingwood.
its a pre season comp you utter F.uckwit
practice matches
couldn't fill a tiny venue on a warm summers' evening in the middle of their supposed area for their FIRST ever game
the tsunami
fear it
fear it now

Again you have NFI. It's a preseason comp that serves as a practice match. Collingwood had few if any stars playing. The crowds these games pull is less than half a normal game. In that respect this was a reasonable crowd, especially when the stadium only holds 10k.

pathetic that they couldn't even fill a 10K seat venue for their first ever game

It holds 10,000. It doesn't seat 10,000.

Either way it is not taken seriously by clubs or fans. Teams usually put junior players in ahead of stars, and also experiment with tactics.
The crowds for these games are always significantly lower than normal home and away games.
It may be a preseason comp but it is definitely practice only.

It was not just an NAB game//games for the Midgits
it was their first ever game at comp level ...... & they couldn't fill a very small venue
& half of those there were there for the other sides
its embarrasing ........

Ah, what's Embarrasing is that it is a higher crowd than a number of NRL proper season games last year.
Yet the giants are a new team, the game was a meaningless preseason game, the game was in RL heartland.

True.

Hardly RL heartland I would say. One club in particular is set to fold and is begging for a handout from the NSWRL. Sad state of affairs indeed. :<> :<> :<>

... please
a number of games played between most probably sydney clubs & out of town clubs .. all struggling
in wet conditions
in the middle of winter
the tsunami .. in its first ever game at the highest level .. so you'd think they'd be interest
in glorious warm conditions
with 2 other teams on show .. who provided half the crowd
could not fill a tiny venue like Blacktown
that is F.uckin hilarious

They played in the NAB cup last year dope!
Plus, this is Sydney, RL heartland! The fact a new team playing a preseason game can out draw official NRL games shows the NRL is a laughing stock!
Plus they outrated an NRL game too!
