First, in order to equal the field you must include the Canberra Auskick figures. This will bump the AFL numbers up considerably. This is needed to counter the added U6, U7, U8 and U9 competitions that the CDRL have.
Second, in order to have a viable team a club must run with 30 players on the list per team. So the minimum number of players on your current statistics is not 2600. It is 3300. Yes still behind, but then add the Auskick numbers and it's a lot closer.
our U6's .. 7's , 8's & 9's are all registered as club players
every one of them
they are not part of a school clinic .. or some holiday camp .. & thats the end of their involvement.. like ausfudge players in Canberra
no way in hell should the ausfudge ones be included ... they mean zip.
& as I said
Local AFL teams get by with a lot less then 30 per team

As NSWAFL says, you need to add them to the ACT figures if you've added the same age groups for RL.
If you go to a sporting club and sign up to play its up to you if you turn up. If you don't then fine. But what other figures are the AFL supposed to use? If you register you're considered to be a player.Raiderdave wrote:you do not .. & I knowXman wrote:You clearly have no idea how auskick runs. You register, you play, you get a kit, it's every week. My daughter was part of one last year ...

name taken down ... counted .. kept as a participant for all of 2011 ... all of it
has never .. & will never .. go near a sherrin again
as about 40 in her class won't

AFL Bull Honkey central ..
my child made NO commitment to ARXman wrote:If you go to a sporting club and sign up to play its up to you if you turn up. If you don't then fine. But what other figures are the AFL supposed to use? My kids did auskick. There were plenty that came half way through the year and didn't register, just joined in.
Even if the numbers indicate those that are registering at worst, that number is still growing dramatically. So clearly people are thinking more about ARs as a viable sport for their kids to play in NSW. That's great =D>
I call BS on this one!Raiderdave wrote:my child made NO commitment to ARXman wrote:If you go to a sporting club and sign up to play its up to you if you turn up. If you don't then fine. she goes to a school where they held a clinic ... she registered for nothing .. they signed her up
she took part as she had no choice ... she counts as 1 AR player in NSW
why should she be one of those 86K ... is it a fair n accurate reflection of playing numbers or not ?
the Govt rightly says its a flawed manipulative system that can't be relied on
yet Bull Honkey Central , the AFL... can't stop using these figures .. can't shut the F up about them as it turns out

she didn't sign anythingNSWAFL wrote:Yes she should be part of th 86,000 because she registered. What do you mean, no choice? If she didn't want to she shouldn't have had to. What school was it? I would guess that it was the school who made her and if that proves to the true then the school is in a lot of trouble.
Then again I doubt you are telling the truth. Trolls never do.

If they don't play a game then they don't appear on the list you provided. But they are still registered as players. What part of this don't you understand?Raiderdave wrote:NSWAFL wrote:It happens. Kids get hurt or are ill you know.
they're still on the list of players numb nuts
AFL teams in Canberra .. do NOT have to have 30 players registered at all
do they ?
