So RL fans, where exactly in your game does one find a contest for the ball by players from both teams?

Kicks aren't contested - teams line up either on either side of the kicker.
You're not allowed to strip the ball in a tackle are you - whereas in AR you can.
There is absolutely no contest in a scrum - the ball is thrown in and heeled back - no hands allowed.
