very proud of my fellow territorians ..... their outright rejection of giggleball is heart warming & as eels fan says
endears us even more to the populations of Sydney & Brisbane.

Then how come there are AFL football clubs at Belconnen, Ainslie, Tuggeranong and Eastlake? Strange for a place that doesn't like the game.

The ACT Brumbies rule the roost in the ACT.
That said Australian Football has a very strong presence with some massive leagues clubs in the city that are very well supported along wit the local teams.

really
where are the marquee FTA games of union on this list of TV shows then enstein ?
wheres the tri nations games ?
wheres the bledisloe
the only rugby game that made the list was the RWC semi .. V NZ .. & it came in 9th .. behind 5 RL programs
never mind the fact brumbies games on pay TV rate about as well as NRL Toyota Cup U20 matches
& flogball is big is it ?
its even less popular then union
I'd say soccer has got it covered ....

SHUT UP!! I umpired in Canberra for two years and they were 99 percent LOCALS!! And the junior competition was good and strong with plenty of youngsters playing AFL. Stick that up your clacker you ignorant dummy!

Settle down Peanut!! Raider is right in this thread and has provided links to prove it. RL is top dog in the state of Canberra, just another of the many many locales throughout this country and others that is RL Heartland. Beaussie has foolishly pretended the links dont work because he is completely stumped

Fact is Raiders figures dont lie peanut, yes your local experience may have some truth to it but in the end a few amateur games on a sunday mean little compared to interest in the professional leagues, which is what we are all talking about here.
All the same TLPG I welcome oyu back into the fight club. With you back we will no doubt see less of that Topper clown you have drummed up in your head

Are you calling TLPG a liar, King-Eliagh? Manuka Oval is as good a venue as Bruce Stadium. Why would the government in the ACT waste money on something like Manuka if it was for just "a few amateur games on a sunday"?
