:_<> :_<> :_<> ... hows your maths ?
not real good is it ?
the over all figures for the finals are in
the NRL .... 15,072,000
the AFL .... 13,315,000
a massive overall win to the NRL
just massive
no one said we'd win the ratings here in Australia for the GF
how could we with only 1 Australian side playing ?
but we nearly did regardless of this distinct disadvantage
we just missed getting a win here too
a great result for the NRL in the GF on TV .... truly remarkable
& a staggering result overall for the finals
Australia's Numb one TV Sport ........... the NRL

Still got the Test series to add in to the totals before the end of the year

Your right about the NRL being a Numb sport as it bores people to tears and is played by Numbskulls. The NRL is nothing more than a garbage game.

The fact remains more people in Australia are AFL fans. This was shown this weekend when the AFL significantly out rated the NRL. We all know clubs have varying level of support and attract varying interests, which is why league can win some weekends in the finals, but the one thing we can count on is every AFL fan was watching the AFL grand final and every league fan was watching the league grand final. This is the reason the AFL got 1.25 billion and the reason league will get less.
With that said the NRL is doing a good job of cashing in on the sporting enthusiasm of the southern states.
But there is still no denying if the grandfinals where at the same time the AFL would trounce league, it would be humiliating. When there is nothing else on TV the sporting mad south will watch a game of leauge or union or soccer, pretty much anything, does not mean they are league fans.

Well said mate. The Grand Finals are proof of which code is bigger and why the AFL always deserves a bigger TV deal. No amount of spin from our throwball fans can change that.

tell me how many AFL games this year have attracted more then 3 Million Tv veiwers ?
I'll answer for you ..... just 1
the NRL had 4
& 1 of them was nearly 4 Million
by your logic this puts League way ahead ... & you know why
because it is
figures are not too far from being finalised for season 2011
the NRL V AFL .. comp V comp will for the first time be won by the NRL
but sport V sport
will be a resounding win to Rugby League to the tune of
16 Million
enough of your .... but but but this .. & but but but that
your game is a distant 2nd now to mine
hard numbers say this
they can't be denied
