Yes, I have to admit the AFL has a significant prescence in Sydney , Only slightly below that of the Iron Chef

Don't underestimate cooking shows! I seem to remember a certain state of origin game losing to master chief.

You will fit in nicely then dribbler. You guys keep preaching you are the national game yet you have 1 side out of Vic, we have the whole of the eastern states covered and NZ.
Pretty relevant thread really, AFL the Victorian game holds true.
Viccy Kicky

lets just rename it the VFL & be done with it

Master chief ....?

.. a new show perhaps
& so master chef ... the most popular program on TV.. just manages to outrate the SOO III in Melbourne ..... just
thats a pretty solid effort from a sport with supposedly no support in that city
AFL games in Sydney & Brisbane meanwhile struggle to outrate Postman Pat re-runs :_<>

So you agree that a cooking show out rates NRL's biggest game nationally?

Put master chef up against the AFL grand final any day and see who wins.

Hey anything the AFL gets in Sydney is better than
0 viewers in a capital city for a NRL final.

seriously
are you kidding ?
you put up an example from last years series
.... & a dead rubber at that
put master chef.... or your GF up against an SOO series opener ... or a game III decider
& it would wipe the floor with both
just like it did in 2011

Rugby League Final Series Sf2 Nine 878,000 512,000 11,000 345,000
0 9,000
0 viewers for an NRL semi final decided by one point in Adelaide
NRL = Ratings suicide.

you seriously think no one watched it at all
phhhhtttt....
even at 2am .. which is probably when it was shown
there'd of been people watching
you have to get at least 1k to register .....
zero... ah no
900 or so ... more likely
meanwhile games of AFL shown before midnight( 11pm) in Sydney have attracted only 1000 veiwers aswell
so despite it apparently being a national sport ... in Australias largest city
it could only attract an audience smaller then a Greek wedding reception :_<>

Hahaha, look at this, poor Raider can't accept the ratings. Again Raider
0 viewers in a capital city of Australia for an NRL Semi Final decided by one point.
What a joke of a competition that pretends to be national. The name of the comp is a joke when you have zero interest in an Australian capital city. Zero I tell ya

no .. as i said
if you don't get 1000 veiwers .. you get 0 in the ratings , they don't count them in the hundreds
& anyway ... even without the 5th largest city in Australia
this NRL final attracted more veiwers then any AFL final did ...
any of the 6 played to date
how is that possible beaussie
how can a game only shown in 2 states .. beat 1 shown nationally
it is quite puzzling isn't it

>
AFL.... owned by the NRL
