come on .... I've left you alone til now
but can you explain how I was totally right

& you were ... umm 8-[ well

totally wrong :?>

shoulda listen to ol Raider eh  :\:
I was just reporting what was published in the media. I accept that a decision has since been made to shift the game from AAMI Park to Etihad Stadium.

That aside, once the AFL takes full ownership of Etihad Stadium in the not to distant future, don't think you'll ever be hosting matches there again. The AFL will not allow it. Hope they take the same stance with Soccer as well.

But I politely informed you .. that the article was wrong ( a typo in fact ) & made a very sensible case as to why
you ridiculed my argument & insisted it was not , & that League had to move to a smaller venue due to waning popularity

my my what a goose you made of yourself 8-[

you're probably right about the AFL running scared & not allowing the SOO to be played at Docklands sometime in the future as they are petrified of this juggernaut

most sensible thing you've said to date

The juggernaut that moved from the MCG to Etihad. Couldn't sellout the MCG once the novelty wore off and still can't sellout Etihad. Juggernaut indeed. :(/

At Least we have interest
55K at the ground ...probably could get 70K plus at the G if they played there
& 350K watching on the box in Melbourne

wow

wouldn't boggerball like that sort of interest in Sydney

Stop the bullshit. If you could get 70k you'd be at the MCG. You can't. What was the last crowd at the MCG for State of Origin by the way. 28k eh? :(/

As for Melbourne Storm, well that can't even sellout AAMI Park unless it's a $1 ticket deal like last season. How pathetic.

well the MCG is an awful venue for games played on rectangle fields .. so thats not surprising

but what was the last 2 crowds in the smaller Etihad
( still too far away from the action for mine )
54,853 , & 50,908

& the profile of the event has increased even more since 2009.. so it'd be
70K plus for the G if we went there
which we will soon enough such is the increasing interest in this massive series that has nationwide appeal
something the AFL doesn't have ... for any of its games

You can't fill the G. That's a fact. Meanwhile the AFL continues to fill both the MCG and Ethihad for home and away club games. You're not in our league sunshine.

didn't say we'd fill the G
70K isn't a full house there

meanwhile the AFL can barely half fill grounds outside of its heartland
a national sport my aunt fanny

Last time you lot played at the G, you got 28k. Know your place in the sporting landscape dopey.

in 1996 you peanut .. 15 years ago with only half of the games stars playing because of the SL war

we've sold out Etihad twice since then ... 70K plus would be a realistic number for Australias premier sporting series at the MCG

Really, well why not play there then???? Not confident in your product and its appeal clearly.

the G is an awful place to watch a game usually played on rectangle field , Etihad really isn't that much better & wasn't around in the 90's anyway
but of course the pressure will come to go back to the G when next years SOO sells out quickly & it becomes apparent that Etihad isn't big enough to house this event in Melbourne
a juggernaut is SOO

Give us a break. You can't even sellout Etihad hence the talk of going to AAMI Park next season. Filling the G as we do many, many time each and every year is just a dream for you lot.
