Constant rain on the same day in Sydney yet a crowd of over 23k turned out to see the Swans play a lowly supporter interstate team in Fremantle. That's more than double the turnout in Canberra where it didn't rain. Again, where are all the Raiders fans?
Constant Rain in Newcastle too
a city an 9th of the size of Sydney .... & the Knights drew a crowd the same size as the Swans
the only sporting event in Sydney's east miles from the rugby test .. no other NRL in town ... & according to TLPG theres 41,000 AFL clubs in NSW per sq mile ... yet a city with 4 million less people had the same sized crowd turn up to watch their NRL side .. as Sydneysiders to watch their AFL side

tell me .... when you let me know where all the Swans fans were on Sunday
I'll let you know where the Raiders fans were
K
Stop exaggerating. I never said that and you know I never said that. The reality is that Canberra's support of NRL is in big trouble. Comparing it to Newcastle is like comparing a church service in an athiest town to a union meeting in a coal mine!
Im comparing Newcastle to the Swans ... not Canberra
how 's that example going for the Swans

If Beaussie wants to pick on Raiders crowds
he needs to explain the swans woeful turnout aswell .... doesn't he ?

You did compare Canberra to Newcastle - via the Swans - by drawing the line along NRL competition and the differing weather conditions.

The Swans turnout was great in the weather conditions. Not woeful.

No
Beaussie said it was actually raining in Sydney to excuse the turnout there
I said it was in Newcastle too... with no reference to Canberra

This thread is about the crowd in Canberra. So either you are off topic, or you did make the connection.

I answered Beaussies question about the crowd in Canberra
then he chose to go off topic by mentioning Sydney ... & I went with him

he is as guilty as me
isn't he ?

No he's not. He compared Sydney's crowd to Canberra and was therefore on topic. You are only on topic if you admit you were comparing Canberra to Newcastle via the Swans.

Edit: Raider refused so the next post was removed as off topic. Now perhaps he'll provide a source for his claim that there are 41,000 AFL clubs per square mile in New South Wales. Or just shut up.

Second edit: Removed extreme personal attack

This disappoints me so much.

This type of talk is actually becoming so much the typical discourse here in the FC. It's just a waste of time. TLPG seriously, your impact is negative as a moderator here in the fight club. As a member? No problem.

he should do the honourable thing & stand down
( if he cares about this site ) from the role as he is clearly not up to it
I have encountered Mods from sites all over the place
TLPG is not a Mod as he has no sense of his own rules .. the first rule of a mod is stick to your own rules
hell even the meaning of the word .. Mod .. which is an abbreviation of
" Moderation "
is something he has no concept of.

If you think it's a waste of time - leave and never come back. I don't think it's a waste of time at all.

Now back on topic people.

Edit - and that includes Raider, who needs to take his complaints to Beau via PM or the Contact Us link at the top of the page.

Another abysmal crowd (even when fudged as is the norm in the NRL) in Canberra last night. 10,425. More likely official count would be 7,200 odd. Where are the Raiders fans?

Temp in Canberra last night .. about 2 ( croiwd 10K)

Sydney has 4.5 Million people their AFL team in the 8
Canberra less then 400K .. their NRL team 3rd last
umm
I'd be asking where the hell Swans fans are ... not the Raiders
