We have already been successful from even before the Swans arrived in Sydney. Club numbers outside of the Riverina have built well, and more recent game development has fixed up any issues that arose in the meantime. South Coast in 1969. Central Coast and Illawarra in 1975. New England in 1976. North West in 1979. North Coast and Central West in 1982. Summerland and Sapphire Coast in 1984.Raiderdave wrote:30 years not quite enough eh ?TLPG wrote:Time will prove the AFL successful.![]()

Yes of course. That would explain the pathetic crowd numbers week in week out of the NRL season. The only "WOW" factor is the number of empty seats at NRL stadiums each and every week.rick-james wrote:What the AFL is doing is all well and good but the fact of the matter is, Rugby League is a superior product! We may be run by a bunch of idiots but RL as a sport and as entertainment value, is far superior to AFL.
We will always "WOW" the kids.

Yep .. & they'll be no stopping usTLPG wrote:Well what do you expect when one has to fight back from the terrible position your game was in immediately after Super League? Of course there's only one direction it can go because it couldn't get any worse!
Could it?

AFL expansion at grass roots level.
Read that again, Raider, and this time realise that I'm right and that you're wrong. I'd hardly call that a waste of money - or 30 years when it's been longer!TLPG wrote:We have already been successful from even before the Swans arrived in Sydney.
