I wouldnt say slaughtered but per capita I guess you are right.

Per capita the TV ratings in Adelaide for both teams would also be better, even though the broncos have just about every friday night to themselves.
Yeah I was talking per capita. Seriously the Broncos have a 2 million city to themselves with no other nRL competition and they only manage an average crowd of 33k

Pathetic.

Yeah but one thing you need to take into account..................the ticket prices to bronocs games are double that of your Collingwoods hence they have a approximate 5m profit with a 33k average crowd in 2012. You are hopeless Spewie why not research a little.

4.5m Profit in 2012 with a football department spend on over 28m, the most of any club in Australian sport.

http://www.broncos.com.au/site/_content ... source.pdf

Page 13

At 30 June 2012 28,991,500 (2,971,873)Half year profit........

Full year lets be conservative and say 5m profit with football department spend of 28m....
A copy of the Broncos' annual report has been circulated amongst the clubs showing the club's turnover of a staggering $34 million and more than $28 million spent on the football team.

Now lets put this in perspective, Collingwood spend 21m on the football department and have a 4.8m profit in 2012(http://footybusiness.wordpress.com/gove ... l-reports/) .....Broncos 5m profit 28m football department spend............ Broncos been around since 1988 and have now amassed 13m in cash and over 35m in assets all within 25 years of existence, Collingwood have net assets of $18,691,856 and have been around since 1892..............

1988 Broncos 28m Spend 35+m in assets and 13m cash in the vault. 24 years of existence.
1882 Collingwood 21m Spend 18m assets and 12m Cash in the Vault. wow 100+ years and still behind the might Broncos....

Spewie my Boy does it hurt knowing the Broncos have smaller crowds yet make more moneys then Collingwood your top AFL team..........

Wow, one of the funniest, dumbest posts ever!

Collingwoods yearly revenue is 70m, double the broncos

Collingwood spend 21m on their "football department" which is their coaches, medical staff, trainers, fitness staff. Their total football club expenditure is over 50m, again about double the broncos.

The broncos yearly revenue is less than the yearly revenue of half AFL teams!

Collingwood have around triple the number of members of the Broncos  and generate over 16m a year from these memberships alone, half the broncos yearly revenue

As an aside, how on Earth do the Broncos not win the premiership every year spending that much more on their football department than the rest of the competition? I know money doesn't win flags, but it should surely help more than it has been for them?

Australian Football has been issuing flags to its premiers since 1895. Not because they were yank wannabes, but due to flags being a cheap alternative to metal trophy cups, which weren't introduced until the late 1950s.

Christ, this is what I get for showing some genuine interest in throwball. Lesson learned.

It's best to stay right away from that neanderthals sport. Thank god it's not in SA!

That is what it looks like numb nuts. It's a smaller version of the flag which each club unveils in a home match the year following their Grand Final win.

Get down to the Swans home game which they decide to use as the one they unveil their flag at this season. Not sure which one it is, Beaussie probably knows.

Anyway here's Collingwood's 2010 flag unveiled at their home match against Carlton in 2011.
