And Xman you would be number 1 when it comes to changing topic's in threads when you have nothing else to say.

So 1208k total without fta regionals. These should be at least 300k so that's got every home and away nrl game covered easy!
Good grief, those figures are huge for a game where the Pies ended up getting smashed. Massive numbers for the jewel in the crown of Australian sports. =D>

Get off the hoochy cooch, the biggest loser in areas not counted is Qld.

Surely you cant be serious when you suggest the the AFL has 3/4 the regional fans of the NRL. Demetriou has really got you lot brainwashed, Regionals are not accurate - the great AFL myth :D . He treats you lot like mushrooms - kept in the dark and fed bullshit!

Damm Xman is full of it hey

http://www.regionaltam.com.au/#

The link clearly shows the size of the regional areas and it includes all the regional parts of Aus. You can add SA and NA regionals and you will not get close to regional NSW QLD SNSW.
NRL
Total NNSW 2109
Total QLD 1792
Total SNSW 1429
Total = 5330

AFL
Total VIC 1183
Total WA 505
Total TAS 515
Total = 2203

Add SA and NT and you are not close Xman so stop deluding yourself. There is no way you have 2/3 of NRL regionals.
Ok , here is where you are wrong. I never said they had 2/3rd the population. I said they had 2/3rds the ratings. Why? Because parts of NsW and QLD watch ARs!

Are you still disputing the fact that the AFL regionals get 2/3rds the NRLs regional ratings?

Do I have to quote the cumulative figures again which show this 2/3rds result?

Got it?

It also shows the AFL regionals are 2/3rd the NRLs regionals.

But going on your calculations for the last Friday night the NRLs metro audience was 700k so their regionals would be 466k for a total of 1166k. This is from 2 live and targetted games including massive figures from the Broncos who are performing well for their 2 million population.

The AFL got 880k, so by your 1/3rd calculations their regionals would be 293k for a total of 1173k. This is already in front despite being a single game targeted to one city only and shown on delay to Perth and Adelaide. Now, let's add the foxtel numbers of 329k and the AFLs average over 3 hrs was 1509k! =D> =D> =D> imagine if the game involved the eagles! You would see another 100-150k!

So, in summary, the AFLs FN game beat all home and away NRL combined fn games that i have seen, including regionals, by some margin!

No, your wrong . The NRL were shown to be 2/3 of there Metro total. The AFL regionals are 1/3 of there Metro total. They measure two different things and can't be compared.

I've never claimed we win every week. But given a level playing field we win more often than not.

One is live in Sydney and delayed 2 hours in Qld and vica versa. Im prety sure you game is Live in all 3 AFL states, both Thursday & Friday night.

What? :?

I added NRL regionals as 2/3rds of their metro total.

I added AFL regionals as 1/3rdof their metro total.

We won even without foxtel ratings.

The NrL quote figures for a targeted live game in to Sydney, and a different one into Brisbane, and one of those into WA, SA and Vic. This results in a far better figure than ratings for one of the games live into one market and delayed into the other. Ratings for the delayed games are disgraceful! #-o

The AFL is live in to Melbourne Sydney and Brisbane but delayed into Adelaide and Perth.

I know some weeks are higher and others are lower. But please show me a home and away NRL game that rated higher than 1.5million nationally. Pick any year you want! :D

Here is the regional tam report for a few weeks ago. Note the NRLs two live matches rated around 10% at 500k for their 5mil population. Also note there is no AFL regional result in the top 50, but it's no surprise given it clearly states the figure excludes regional WA, Tasmania, and we know it excludes 220k regional SA. That's 1.4 million people!

Also note that the AFL is rating higher in Tasmania this year, most likely due to live games at 7.30pm. These results are separated and shown at the bottom of the page. Richmond v Carlton rated 71k or 14%, despite the fact it was also on foxtel!

WA regional figures are also separated on the bottom of the page and the ratings are about 50k. So Tasmania and regional WA alone are rating over 100k - 125k despite the game shown not involving a team from that market!

There included, what do you think your link shows?

Population wise:

Tasmanian 14%

Regional WA 9%

Regional NSW 12% for what was not the opening round of the season.

If these figure arent shown then how did you get them?

They're counted and reported separately so there is no real way the AFL games can make the top 20 metro + regional ladder because they split the regional markets into separate areas and don't add them together.

Found any home and away NRL Friday game rating over 1-5b yet?

The AFL is live in to Melbourne Sydney and Brisbane but delayed into Adelaide and Perth.
According to the AFL website the match went live into Melb, Adel,- It is delayed in Perth so as not to clash with the news.

Unless it starts at 7pm its delayed to Adelaide, by 30 minutes. This was the plan before the season started.
