Australian football has been extremely popular ever since it was invented.
Whilst Rugby rules football was initially more popular than Cambridge rules football
but British Association football soon left rugby for dead.
IMO there isn't too much wrong with rugby but here in Australia it's competing with
a superior product, a product that leads the world on a per head of population basis .
And the energy consumed in fighting AFL would be better spent elsewhere.
