5 million doesn’t seem that much - that’s only 1.25 mil a year?? How does this compare to AFL clubs?

Principal Sponsor … not major sponsor
Gee Fred, you ask a lot of questions pal! If you want to have a proper discussion why don't ya get of ya arse and find out for yaself pal.Fred wrote: Wed Nov 24, 2021 9:21 pmDoesn't seem much - although Suns are only getting 1 mil a year for Covermore. What would Adelaide be asking for a principle sponsor - I think Toyota was their first major sponsor - called the Camry Crows - what was that worth all those years ago?

the Dolphins as a football division with there asset base, are worth more than
St Kilda
Kangaroos.
Port Adelaide
SUNS
The dolphins with their asset base would be worth more than the majority of any 4 NRL clubs combined.
Penrith would be the closest single club with a valuation of around $46 mill. They are a long way ahead of the current Broncos valuation and some of the Broncos valuation is based on Brand Good Will.
Dolphins could well be a financial powerhouse, be interesting to see how long it takes for them to be successful on the field.
Just need a “location” identifier name…East Coast Dolphins? …Bramby Bay? Back to Redcliffe? Morton Bay Dolphins?
Any other reasonable suggestions….North Brisbane may be off the table.

1 sponsor is one little piece to the puzzle.
they will get bigger once they enter the NRL.
AFL should of went with Southport Sharks. it is a nice establishmentFred wrote: Fri Nov 26, 2021 12:53 pmleeroy*NRL* wrote: Thu Nov 25, 2021 9:39 pmFreddy,Fred wrote: Wed Nov 24, 2021 9:21 pmDoesn't seem much - although Suns are only getting 1 mil a year for Covermore. Oh no doubting that - They will or should be huge I think. Southport sharks are in a similar position and were considered for the Suns license - but they wanted a stand alone team - they have a massive financial reserve I believe - mainly due to their large gaming complex.
i do not think they have missed the boat, the funds are still being pumped into the region by the AFL.Fred wrote: Sun Nov 28, 2021 7:55 amYeah… the Sun”s just can’t seem to take a trick. I’m starting to wonder if they have now missed the boat as a team…. Really needed a finals appearance last year I felt. I think now they’ll need at least 2 or 3 seasons as a top team to get the region behind them. Then for how long ???
