It's putting out the "what a success" image.
Doesn't matter how much bullshit they talk .
They know the braindead fans will believe
Good thing is plenty seem to be waking up to the propaganda .

Time for some truth. Morons on this forum joke the tents were out the back so fans were more interested in the food than the game. Wrong

The video above shows the HUGE catering marquee and areas under cover they had (00:19 and 5:02) which were absolutely packed. They were also facing the ground so fans could sit under cover and watch the game. Why were they in the tents and not in the stands? Because it was raining and the stands had absolutely no cover. People in the stands have umbrellas and ponchos.
sweet Jesus that's 6 mins of my life I'll never get back .
Now for your laughable post .
I give you credit for having a few brains...brainwashed yes ..but you've got some .
You're MENSA material next to LIC .
But brainwashing by the cult does strange things to people

The so called huge areas would prob sit about 500
If there were 2 of them that's about 1 k .

The shots around the ground show at most being generous about 1/3 full .

So wher were the people
They announced a crowd of over 10 k in an 11 k stadium .
There would have been lucky to be 4 k sitting around the ground .
If you think the marquees can hold 3 k each ...Gilty has a job for you .

As for raining .
Lol what about the year before when it was fine ..yet the same excuse was trotted out ..
Catering tents ..eating .

Rational fans ..the media not in Gils pocket ..betting agencies & anyone else not in the cult with 2 working eyes saw the reality .
Hence why that game crowd & talked up success by the AFL had the piss taken out of it .

Garbage. A number of the stands are not in use because they are not adjacent to the oval, therefore they would have a partial view. EG: 00:36 shows one of these stands where there is a stand partially in front of it. These empty stands make the ground appear more empty than the capacity allows.

Add to that many of the stands are small therefore only missing a few hundred people at most.

00:51 shows one end behind the goals where the stands are around half full. Given the small size of the stand the missing fans would be a few hundred at most. The number of people crammed into the marquee would easily exceed the difference.

02:58 shows the other end behind the goals which way over half full. Again, the thousand of people standing in the marquee would make up a large part of the difference.

The game was played in poor weather which would have kept some away. Others would be finding cover, not in the stands.

Again, it makes perfect sense to over-inflate the crowd number AFTER the game, it make absolutely no sense to do it before the game, especially two weeks before.

Thousands in a marquee
Are you for real ?
Sweet Jesus .
Correct me if I'm wrong . marquees are usually for the corporates .
There's tables not chairs side by side with people crammed in
Tables for eating drinking as the corporate types do .
You then say thousands were standing .
So I'm a corporate type sitting in a marquee ...trying to drum up business at a sport event ...while also watching the game .
It rains .
thousands of people cram into marquee blocking the view from myself and other high flyers in there .
We just allow that . We paid good money to sit in comfort ..eat and drink and let people block our view .
Oh my .
Words cannot describe how badly you want to believe Gilty

It's pretty clear there are fans standing crammed into and outside avery large set of marquees, so yes, thousands is perfectly reasonable.

People preferred that that sitting in the rain.

Face it, your 7 month rant about a half empty stadium and tents out the back was pure BS.

there are more people in there, and outside the marquees than are missing in most of those small stands.

You still havent told me why the AFL would lie about the sellout a fortnight before the game rather than after it......

BS

claiming a sellout weeks before the game was even played is not about protecting image. In fact if the local turnout was tiny and the ground mostly empty it would do the opposite.

You have not, and cannot, account for that, and you know it

Ok just say we give you credit for a sellout. Why is nobody staying to watch the game?

Is AFL that shit that nobody can stand watching it and prefer to go for a walk instead over in China?

So either the AFL is lieing that it is a sellout or it is selling out, but nobody wants to sit in the stand and watch the game.

both are wrong. It was a sellout but the rain meant some didnt come while a reasonable proportion of those that did sought shelter rather than sitting in the rain.

I mean it was only 10k FFS, which is a very small crowd. Just like many NRL games

Its an open venue that had heaps of rain!

Technically if the AFL fan was as pathetic as the league fans they could blame the weather :)))
