Always been something odd with GWS membership numbers. There just isnt the revenue to back this up unless they have 25,000 people paying just over the minimum amount to be recognised by the AFL as a member ($50, be a person with contact information - person can have more than 1 membership counted).
25,000 members should be a minimum revenue of 1.25 million at a minimum $50 each. Last year total membership, reserved seating, gate reciepts and merchandise came in at 1.8m - with 20,000 members.

Ok sports fans, we haven't played this game for a while so here we go:
I just checked the GWS web site and they claim they have 28,245 members. Yep........you heard that right. They actually, really, fair dinkum say they have that many. Laughable I know!!!!
So, today they play the Suns at Nameless Stadium. The weather is perfect. There are no other sports on in Sydney today. So what will the crowd be? Or rather what will the stated crowd number be.............and what will the actual number be......you know in reality.
I'd say they will claim 9.5k but there will in fact be about 2.2k.
Waddaya think sports fans????

So going by your logic terry
If two nsw based nrlol teams have 45, 50k of members between them and regularly get that fudged 10k crowds does that mean the nrlol clubs member numbers are fudged as well?
We know the nrlol is great at fudging most things

Did look empty on tv for sure. Seemed to get the slightest bit better as the game went on ... it’s always hard to tell on that ground as standing room (like Metricon) but if they say 7 to 8 thousand I could roll with it. Anything more makes it hard to fathom.
