Oh dear
This is what I was talking about
The but but butting .
What you state is blatantly untrue
All games 3x9 are televised
Which equals 27 hrs
Compared to the NRL about 16
Are you THAT thick? I've already said 27 hours of AFL are shown. The point is all these hours are shown over only 18 hours because most games overlap. This reduces viewership, reduces advertising revenue, and therefore the TV rights value is significantly lower.
If I back 2 horses in the one race You know racing at the same time
I have 2x $100 bets & both lose ...I lose $200
In your bizarro land I only lose $100
no idea what you're on about here
Not my problem that the AFL can't schedule games correctly
It has nothing to do with not scheduling them properly. The AFL control their schedule and are happy to accept less TV revenue to have the games played at times where attendance is more fan accepted. This means Ch7 lose viewers to a competing game on fox. It means fox have no exclusive games, they all compete with FTA. Add to that the AFL insist on all home teams outside VIC being shown on FTA into their home market, which reduces the need for fox subscriptions. This all reduces the value of the AFL TV rights.
Again, this has nothing to do with a poor TV deal or poor scheduling. The AFL accept less TV money for a schedule that benefits the game overall.

A game of AFL goes for about 110m .less than 20% longer than a league game. So if your ' super Elite athletes' didn't require 40m of resty time on top of there 100 interchanges, and had the Normal 10m break then you would have nothing to whinge about,. There lyes the problem though , no more excuses, nothing to But, But , But about
I think the TV networks are happy with a 3 hour telecast as opposed to 110 minutes. More time for advertising

So to summarise AFL style
AFL game goes for 1 1/2 times the length of an NRL game
Same for whole telecast ......so in AFL world that means they should count the viewers 1 1/2 times ..lol......
Yet the NRL got nearly as much $$$$$. For far less tv time ..which applying the nrloon principle means the NRL got a far bigger deal .
Nope
Apparently not .
But that apparently doesn't apply in AFL world

well you flogs dont want to compare game v game because you lose horribly. You only want to tally up the entire season to see which game was 'watched most'. Well the game that was 'watched the most' must take length of time into account, since a one hour show is clearly watched more than a 30 minute show.
Then you wank on about the TV rights value without understanding the AFL actually take less money to control their schedule which denies both fox and CH7 of viewers because both networks and most games directly compete with each other. THATs why the AFL got a similar price for what on the surface looks like more content. The reality is both Fox and Ch7 had to give up plenty to allow the AFL to run the game the way they want.

We got just under 4M R3 last year so we're still on track. The two Sunday blowouts were a ratings killer though. And I don't why Ch9 would put the Titans on FTA Sunday. The Roosters v Knights game would have rated much better.
