It's not hard to see there are two teams who are in developmental states. However, there are 5 top tier teams this year who could each win the GF. Meanwhile the NRL have the storm again

The storm? They've only won two premierships in the last 10 years. And those two were stripped from them. Again Xman, you talking about RL is like miss America talking about politics. Hilarious but not all that deep.

They've been in 5 GFs in 14 years! They are undefeated again and look unbeatable again this year after choking in the prelim last year. Boring!
The AFL this year is very even at the top tier and middle tier. The bottom two are standouts and will improve in coming years. Pretty healthy I would say! =D>

Your bollocks is not going to change things here Xman. You've already conceded that the AFL has a less balanced comp. Now you just need to admit its the most unbalanced comp in living history and quite probably...ever.
A massive problem which one would hope those dumbos down at AFL hq are trying to resolve...

Ah not quite. The AFL have a few uncompetitive teams but a very even first a second tier. The NRL may not have 2 uncompetitive teams but at the top end the storm are stand ing out as clear leaders again. How exciting!

"A few uncompetitive teams"? Umm I think its between 4 and 6. Ensuring every round of footy has matches that are dead rubbers. Its woeful and something needs to be done. In RL any team has a competitive chance against another on any given day. This is the essence of what the concept of competition is all about. The storm will be challenged andc more than likely not win the premiership, as was the case last year and the year before and in 8 other seasons over the past decade. Yes, that's exciting Xman.

4-6 ?
Uncompetitive means they cannot compete. How does that apply to Brisbane when they have already had a good win? How does that apply to Richmond who were within a kick of Carlton in the last quarter and lost by only 3 or so goals to collingwood?

I'd call that much more than competitive!
Melbourne beat Richmond, essendon, brisbane, Fremantle and others last year.
You seriously Have NFI!

How would describe the Gold Coast Titans, Wests Tigers and Parramatta Eels in the NRL.
Uncompetitive sure comes to mind for me.

West Tigers ... they were comp fav's at the start of the season
Parramatta beat the defending premiers 2 weeks ago
the Titans beat a team tipped to be top 4 in the Cowboys & have competed strongly in every game they've played
with only the Storm eventually giving them a touch up .. 32-6
the pale .. insipid ... heartless performances of some VFL teams are a world away from the above 3

Pale insipid and heartless indeed. I just cant bear to watch these AFL clubs go out there and cop such bad hidings throughout the season. Parra, Wests and the GC in RL are competitive and great teams to watch play at the top level in RL. On the other hand its pot luck when Melbourne, Brisbane and Richmond compete, a very rare occurrence. Normally they are leagues behind the other teams, apart from GWS and the GC of course, whose mothers must turn away in dismay at the disgraceful performances of their sons, week in week out. All because the AFL stuffed up.
Think about the mothers of these poor lads Xman! Think about poor Ablett Juniors mother who has to watch her son get belted to billio...week in week out. Something needs to be done, and quick!

Hmm Richmond were within a few goals of Carlton, then lost by 3 goals to collingwood in their last few games. How are they uncompetitive?

more bs from you.
Brisbane have won 50% of their games.
Melbourne beat a number of decent sides last year and have played 50% of their games against top sides.
You're stupid!

They've been just outside the finals almost every year for the past 30.
Yet they have 45k members and averaged 43k attendance last year! Is that about triple the average Sydney RL team?

I love Xman's use of invalid stats. Like 50% after 2 games (or after two cases in the BS files)
Lets see how things are going in rd 12 Xman you dope. In the mean time think of the players of these dud teams' mothers. Think of the shame these mother have to go through week in week out...all because the AFL stuffed up.

brainwashed ... & devoid of an original thought... satisfied with mediocrity
pretty much sums up the VFL fullstop

There are so many laughable points in your post it's hard to know where to start!
1. Its Richmond. I don't care, not my team.
2. They have 3 times the support of your average NRL team, despite years of lack of success. Melbourne love AFL more than Sydney like RL.
3. AFL heartland supporters follow their teams despite ladder positions. Well I suppose storm fans do to. Even when they are world beaters no one shows up.
