isn't that your usual excuse to justify a piss poor nrl crowd? it was the rain that kept every one away

13k at the GABBA. Horrendous, no matter which way you spin it. I have 2 mates in Brissy that are Lions members, and both said that they received emails about a boycott of the match due to the Vossy firing. Neither attended the match because of this. Still a sh*t crowd regardless IMO.

Well you could say it was ordinary but you must remember Brisbane is rugby league heartland. Still, lions have a record of much better crowds and despite it being GWS, that the run to the finals is over, and the Voss sacking, they should be getting at least 5000 more to that game I would say. What were the board thinking on sacking Voss by the way? They really need the likes of Roos to justify it.

one of the guys at my work mentioned something similar, about a group trying to get people boycott the game, all the talk has been on Voss's sacking, there almost nothing has been reported about his care taker coach for the rest of the season, or there was an actual game on last nite
voss up here is a public figure, who is a very popular figure, he has been very public on his sacking doing, a heap of interviews, gaining a lot of sympathy along the way. so there was always going to be a bit of back lash.
but imo, he has had his 5 years, did pretty much nothing, so the change had to happen,
