Include legends games, preseason cup, brownlow, foxtel programs.....its the AFL beating RL.
Include the 50% longer running time and its a thrashing! AFL, number 1 TV sport in Australia =D>
Not to mention the extra 3-4 million who actually went to the games

oh
so yr only 5 Million behind then

Not if you add in the preseason comp 5 million and we look at your 17 million and work out it should actually be 15 million (SOO X3 11 million + 2 tests 2 million + CVC 1 million + all stars 1 million + 1 million just to make it fairer) but like you they are all made up stats on your side if there are more numbers to crunch I will leave it you the experts. Lets see what they have to say, if anything at all.
AFL regular season 123m
Preseason 5 million
extra people at the games 4 million
total 132 million. (is that how you make up stats raider dave style?)
Compared to NRL regular season 114 million
Extra stuff 16 million
total 130 million
Look I can make up bullshit stats as well.

a veiwer in the first hour .... is the same veiwer in the 3rd
he isn't 3 different people d head ....

Thats the point dunce. Longer shows get a lower average because its more likely they will have viewers who won't watch for the entire program. Therefore for the longer show to get the same or similar ratings they would have FAR more individual viewers. =D>

tack 49
when will it end .............

now youre being silly Dave
Youre claiming victory while looking at the game numbers only. Yet these number ignore the fact you can fit 1.5 NRL games in every single AFL game. Therefore the NRL numbers are overrepresented in comparison. Game length is also important since it shows the number of hours the sport is on TV. 27 hrs of AFL v 16 hrs of NRL per weekend.
A huge win for AFL, saturating Australian TV and smashing every other sport. No wonder they dominate every other facet as well.

Rugby League, the most watched sport on Aussie TV again, in fact so big was the kickin they gave everyone else, you could just about add all the other footy codes ratings together and still win.
Not bad eh?

So what total did RL get and what total did Australian Rules get?
