no, you're assuming what the sources include. The AFL won over the NRL, and Aussie Rules would win over RL if all ratings were added.

ah.. no
all VFL is included ( thats games in comps played by VFL players ) & its 123 Million
& a few people watching fumbleball tiers lower then this would not go within a bar of making up the massive difference
RL... numb one
again

What's clear is the AFL beat the nrl. You can't claim Anything else until you add up every single shows tv ratings for both sport. Find that and you can then claim victory for your sport. Until then you got nudda

thats not news
the VFL has beaten the NRL every year comp v comp , of the last 4
but we don't argue about that .... do we
it always has been RL V Vicky Kicky
&
you lot proclaimed from the highest hill tops
that this year
when the VFL had all its regionals counted , it would beat Rugby League the sport for overall numbers of veiwers
that with all games bar the Grand Final simulcast on pay ,it would beat Rugby League the sport for overall numbers of veiwers
that the days of Rugby League being the most watched sport .... would be ova
shouted it from the mountain tops did our fumbleball cheerleaders
hmmmmm
alas ....
it didn't happen
I think when one considers there were 11 more VFL games this season
& 22 more games then 2 seasons ago
that RL has in fact ...... increased its lead since 2010
with all the advantages VFL has , it can't even close the gap let alone get infront
wow
just wow ... Stand & applaud our nations undisputed most watched sport , the greatest game of all
RUGBY LEAGUE !! =D> =D> =D>

Why compare the sport of RL to a single national comp? Because its the only way you can win?
AFL >>>> NRL
The rest is guess work

we always have
& anyway
the extra games in our rep season are played by NRL players you wombat , thats NRL players ..& its just 6 games we need to sit you on yr @rses
so really it is the NRL & its players we are talking about
its not like we need the rest of our sport to win is it ?
vicky kicky failed again
it tried ever so hard .... & kudos on the effort =D> =D>
no shame in coming second to Rugby League
no shame at all

so why would you think comparing a competition to multiple competitions is fair? Either comp v comp or sport v sport is the correct comparison.
We know who wins the first. The second would be a victory to ARs too.

Advantages? Ummm it's the nRL who has sold out to television you imbecile, not the AFL. Even with the nRL selling out to TV (again), they're still worth less than the AFL and lose the ratings by over 10 million.
Stand and applause the AFL. Australia's game. =D>

multiple competitions ?
what multiple competitions d head
its any comps where either comps players are involved
VFL players V NRL players
the VFL has its club comp & pre season
123 Million veiwers
up by 10 million ... good job
but .... hmmmmmm
despite more games ... all regionals counted & all games on pay
yuz STILL didn't quite get there did ya
the NRL has its club comp , but... its players also participate in the SOO , 2 tests against the Kiws , an All Stars game & City Country match
for
131 Million veiwers in 2012... up 2.5 Million
debate ends .......... here !

If you include ratings outside the NRL comp then you must include all foxtel VFL, safl WAFL, tfl, brownlow, legends games, foxtel repeats, everything
AFL beats NRL. The rest is speculation only.

So the TV networks payed the NRL more TV money then the AFL.
Question, what did they pay the NRL for?
Answer, SOO, NRL, rep league Allstars game, Tests.
So logic tells you that NRL is getting substantial revenue from these Forms of the Game.
AFL has the AFL comp that is all the networks are paying you for so logic tells you that you have
1. NRL 133m viewers. 8 broadcasts a week + rep season.
2. AFL 122m viewers and that is with simulcast which = 13 separate broadcasts a week. were to from here for the AFL........
NRL number 1 baby........... =D> =D>

Well for staters the AFLs games are all concurrent except Friday night, therefore meaning there are actually only 5-6 individual games available for viewers to watch. The NRL have more with 7-8 individual games. Add to that they show their most popular team almost every FN despite the damage it does in poor exposure to teams like the raiders.
Secondly, the article this year showed the AFL smashed the NRL with 123m v 113m viewers =D>
http://www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/r ... 6525246762
Including all other RL games is fine but then you need to do the same for the AFL and include all our shows on FTa and fox. Given fox footy was the number 1 pay station all year I'd say it would be a slaughter.
Thirdly, the NRLs TV deal hasn't been finalised yet dope. At the moment the AFL have a healthy lead =D>
So sorry to disappoint there eels
