I also think they are limited as to where they play due to the Easter show.
Yep. In a move of absolute brilliance fumblehouse moved the mess from Blacktown, in the actual greater western Sydney, to Homebush where the stadium is outta play for 6 weeks in the middle of the season to show cows and sheep lolololol. Brilliance personified.
crowd sizes that are on par with other sporting codes in the area, still having kids from the area drafted, something the Storm still cannot do
Wrong .......and ..............wrong!!!! But you are makingstupideasy so intellectual competence ain't your strong suit lolololol!!!!!!!!!!

Looking at the GWS fixture I counted only 8 games at Engie stadium
Clearly not enough, you need more consistently to build a presence in a difficult market for the AFL
The deal to play games in Canberra has been a success, a win win for both, Giants get well needed fans and Canberra gets thousands of tourists.
This success for GWS at Manuka is at the expense of less games at Engie stadium and building the fan base in Western Sydney.

8 games only, doesn't sound right, will check count.
8 games (spread out over entire season is most certainly not enough)
it is a bad move.
2032 GWS need to pull out of Canberra and play out of Blacktown part time during Easter Show Period.

Well a decent crowd tonight at the suns v giants - and a decent measure of support for the suns given not too many giant”s supporters here. Is a long weekend though so possibly many out of yo too.

13k seems to be the crowd SUNS get on most occasions until the Big Melbourne teams play
but there home record past 2 seasons is insanely good.

Yeah - felt more to be honest but does give a good idea of the rusted on support base I think. Long weekend, Sunday night, playing Giants - I think it’s a good base to continue building upon. I’d say if it were a Saturday night on a normal weekend maybe 141/2 to 15.

Saying sold out - but I am a member and just walk in and stand on the wing (110) - so I would say all seating is gone. You can bet, however, there will be empty seats visible on the day. I know in the corporate, they have the seating inside at tables - and seats reserved outside - where you get services to your seat - did it a few years back - was good. So some people sit inside rather than the reserved outside seats. But there is undoubtedly seats vacant if past years are anything to go by.

It seems GWS are about as popular in the NT as they are in western Sydney. A paltry 6374 attended their game in Darwin yesterday. The ground is listed as having a 10k capacity. Pathetic.

Correction: the game was in Alice Springs.

Wasn't it a Melbourne home game? Plus Melbourne are not a high drawing club either - so I gather this is why they played this game in Alice Springs - probably wasn't going to get much more (if any) if played at GWS lol - but probably more if at the G - thing is, would have cost them to have it at the G but Melbourne get plenty of coin for playing in NT.

All that is probably true Fred. But whatever way you cut it its a paltry crowd.
