Nah. I’ve never heard or seen anyone debate the nightly news battle for instance, between WIN and Prime news in regional NSW. Seven news vs Nine news in Perth on the other hand matters and is discussed regularly. It’s just the way it is. No one really cares for the regionals.

I think the growth is shown in clubs and leagues - not do much in south east Qld but in the country areas where there are Aussie rules leagues all over the state. Also l, the quality of football, with many local Queenslanders on AFL lists. Compare that to NRL in Australia in non traditional AFL states. Born and bred Queenslanders on AFL club lists. You can’t even play Rl if you lived parts of Victoria as no local teams.

16k was for Brisbane audience for the Saints/Dockers game which was on at 720pm. The Suns was on before that at 4.30pm, and ratings arent available for the game at this time.
