I would assume, the reason they haven't given an exact amount is because at this stage it is unknown. The current amount is double that of the last contract. but the future amount ,for royalties to the NRL over that time cannot possibly be known.
So why are RL fools claiming victory over a total thats unknown?

For us to be up anywhere near your sports deal after the last two deals says we have a victory anyway you look at it dopey, live with it. People like you said we RL fans are dreaming if you think it'll get anywhere near the Vfl. Well it has and it's closing on bettering it. If we want to gloat, we bloodywell will, you guys have given it to some of us online for a fucking decade, it's nice to have to shoe on the other foot for once.

And, we have just caught up after winning back our freedom, the next deal will blow your Vfl away.
We've covered this before.

1. We have always debated the Australian ratings, you claiming Australian regional ratings would make the difference, and us out longer game and Australian metro ratings. Who would have though you would then demand to include NZ in the comparison?

2. The NRL maximised their money in detriment to their TV coverage. Rumours had ch 9 offering all 8 games live, including better coverage into expansion states, for near 800m. Who would have known your ARLC would have duded every fan by taking cash over coverage.

3. How would we even know your deal is close? The Telstra deal is undisclosed as is our Toyota deal. NZ hasnt been decided either. We do know you are well behind for cash only.

Holden rev up to sponsor Origin

Date
December 22, 2012 - 12:04AM

THE NRL's pockets continue to be lined; the latest significant announcement being that Holden is set to sign on as sponsor of the code's jewel in the crown, the State of Origin series.

As part of a three-year deal which is expected to be finalised in the new year, Holden will sponsor the lucrative interstate series, as well as the National Youth Competition (under-20s) and the Australian team......

Wow, it never seems to end. It truly is a great Christmas for the NRL - pity I cant say the same for the AFL

Xman surely your not daft enough to be disputing the NrL's massive dominance in rural areas. Even Andrew D would dispute that.

We've seen how big a help it is having a drawn out long winded game    I suppose the next step for your ratings would be to just focus on the highlights of the game

Evidence? Your pathetic code didn't even release the figure of the Telstra deal! Why? Because they knew it was a pathetic number as it even includes naming rights
Couldn't even match Telstra's AFL deal of over $150 million who don't even hold the naming rights of the AFL.
They did mention it was more than twice the size of the previous deal. Which was $90m. =D> =D> =D> Well done ARL commision, you've inflicted a serious butt-kicking upon the dreamers in AFL land.
. It wouldn't have been double the $90 million deal.

yet clearly here ... it says it is
putting the deal at around AU$180 million
and the NRL confirmed it was double their old deal ... not double their old yearly amount .. double their old deal

Interesting how Roy masters hasnt done his yearly December cummulative ratings article. I wonder why? :?>

Telstra would not disclose the commercial value of the contract but ARLC chairman John Grant said the deal was worth “double” in cash and contra to their previous deal.

Good question.

How does a comp which claims its a sport built for TV, that relies so heavily on tv revenue because of such poor attendance figures, that claims they win the ratings, and that sells its control to a television network, actually get less?

A very good question

Double what? Amount? years? Amount per years? Exact figures?

Hmmm, something's missing Dave

While your chasing your tail finding these answers please find the new amount the AFL gets for Toyota for its new deal...
