The nrlol needed the loan to pay basic operating bills

But you can't compare the two. The AFL is Australia's largest sporting business by a country mile and can do that type of thing. The nrl, whilst growing, do not have the same financial clout as is a smaller business.

between the AFL & NRL & its CLUBS
