For FTA and PTV combined.

GWS and the Swan got less in Sydney than the Storm did against NZ in Melbourne Wow!

That's because Sydneysiders were too busy watching it on Channel 7. The main channel actually. And the match managed to gain an audience greater than 7 thousand  (which i'm sure is an error).

Anzac Day clash had a total audience of 1.4m people (metro + regional + Fox).

That's impressive!

Biggest audience since the 2012 thriller Wookie?

I was at the game yesterday and it was good, a close contest yet scrappy and tough :)

GO BOMBERS!

So I was pretty much correct.

Although 2014? Wonder why that was so high? Massive regional audience?

Fri TV #NRL #NRLCowboysEels *updated* Nine/9Gem 699k: Metro 414k (Syd 225k Bri 173k) Regional 285k
Fri TV #AFL #AFLGiantsDogs Seven 491k (Mel 369k Ade 122k) 7mate 190k (Syd 42k Bri 34k Per 114k) = 681k

For pussy, this is the lowly supported giants too, one of our smallest clubs. Theyre also playing next Friday night. So much for the AFL never show small clubs on FN

Fri STV #NRL #FoxLeague #NRLCowboysEels National 252k: Metro 185k (Syd 109k Mel 14k Bri 46k Ade 4k Per 12k)
Fri STV #AFL #FoxFooty #AFLGiantsDogs National 326k: Metro 264k (Syd 24k Mel 138k Bri 25k Ade 35k Per 43k)

total for NRL last night: 951k
total for AFL last night: 1007k without regionals. Estimated total of 1234k (1/3rd metro)

So the direct comparison is now 7 -2 in favour of the AFL

AFL House tweeted 1.207m total viewers (FTA + STV) for GWS vs. Western Bulldogs!

Beating last yeara home & away game.

Must mean a HUGE 390k regional viewers on Seven (based on all the other data released), Wookie? :O
