RL is the number 1 game in Qld .
Just like the AFL has had millions of not billions poured into stadia in their strongholds .

The Gabba was redeveloped as it had a dog track around the out side of it! Metricon was built for the GCS as well as with the commonwealth games in mind

2000 Suncorp was built, late 90s the reds has ballymore up graded that rearly sees a game at it now days & the titans got to design and have a stadium built for them, then all they do is whinge about renting costs

Ffs the government is even giving the newscorp broncos several million to build some training facilities

At the cost of $250 mill and considering on average they can only half fill the ground that was built in 1994

Wouldn't just placing some roofing over stands, be a far more cheaper and viable option

Considering the oval out at strath pine is pretty much a suburban community oval

& your up in arms about the AFL asking for some money for a small boutique community oval? Given the fact the AFL has a track record of helping to fund the ovals & the nrlol does not
Woman's AFL is only new and fast growing so why can they not have a venue.

This has nothing to do with league being the more popular sport in qld it's more a case as your insecure, bitter & in fear towards the AFL!

i have answered it spazza, its more amusing your insecurity and jealousy how you can justify the current of hundreds of millions being spent on the NRLOL and its pissy little teams, yet are so wound up thinking the AFL isnt entitled to anything

I think making it a centre of excellence is the key. South pine is a good little place but doesn't have the facilities that an AFL clubs b would need. The AFL would propose a place that was state of the art, where the men could train and women could also play out of. Look at the suns and what they have now or the titans as well ... although not in the same class as the suns.
