Not an excuse. Think about it, a 9th game adds no additional revenue to Ch7 because they are still limited to 4 games a round. An extra game due to the giants and suns will add very few extra subscriptions to foxtel because these are new teams in expansion markets. The extra value is minimal at best.

If the AFL really wanted to add extra value to their Tv deal they would introduce more night games and a night GF

The NRL have only had 6 out of 15 FTA evening games with ratings over 1.05m, the AFL have had 3 out of their 5.

So the AFL is easily winning the prime time comparison on prime FTA. We also know the AFL have the highest rating non-prime time game, and the highest rating prime time game.

Those figures are without sky and in 2 cases without regionals.

Rd 2 for example , NZ gets 1.03m but if there home audience is thrown in they would get over 1.2m

So think up another but but excuse and enjoy that silver medal.

There is so much difference between your haves and your havenot's .

As Leeroy said you can but but all day .This is wrong, that it all wrong - but your talking about your own game.

Introduce more night games :-({|= Like they did on Fiday night? 380k. That get considerably more than that when they stack three matches together of an afternoon.

your games without regionals will never get to 1.05mil so thats irrelevant. Face it, well over half your games are below 1.05m and over half our games are above it

yes to a degree, but it is still a game that can be on fox playing another popular team
hitting 200k on a weekly basis plus. and if that game is aired into Melbourne
or Perth hitting a further 150k plus

the NRL however has plenty of new teams to introduce.. = guaranteed $$$

I was talking hypothetically about what is more valuable to the networks, and prime time is certainly more valuable. However, the AFL dont need to change their scheduling for more TV revenue, they get plenty from other sources

XMan what happens with your ratings on a Saturday night? You've got no opposition from the nrl, other than PTV - and your results - 700/600/600/800k with regionals added. What's happening? Our PTV game on Saturday nights averages 300K.

firstly, youre guessing, secondly, you need NZ ratings to get close, showing the AFL is number 1 in Australia :)))

Hardly guessing at all. Adding about 30k , 40k in the case of the opening match which is what they got last year. And in the NZ game 150k which is there normal home audience. And in case you haven't noticed the warriors play in our competition, So either 71/2 league matches out rate your 9 or you accept sky and the less humiliating stat that our 8 out rate your9

enjoy that silver!

Still waiting to hear your pathetic but but excuses for Saturday nights.
