It is rugby league.
It doesn't help rugby league because it takes the focus away from club rugby league.
It's perfectly fair, when rugby league doesn't know how to run it's sport properly!
1 out of 4 makes you a failure, Dave.

we've got another 6 months before there'll b tears & tanties from Fumblers when Origin smashes their bumbling embarrassment of a sport for 6 again

You'll be tearing your nappy off multiple times while the regular season figures show the AFL are MILES in front of the NRL!! We'll knock you for six 26 weekends in a row!

The Kangaroos have had their civic receptions and parades over the years in it's various forms, they're just too damn good.
You usually get a parade after a long drought in winning or a first off, it's usually for club teams in certain cities but can go above that to a national level. Usually once you have had a civic reception, you don't tend to receive them every farking time you win something
The Kangaroos have more or less won everything for 40 bloody years and it took them 30 years to start winning, why should they get a parade every 4 years when they got a parade back then? No one else does.
The Swans won not long ago again, did they get a second civic reception?
No, no they didn't. Derps!
they win because league never rates a mention any other country, hence Australian dominance and the NRl supplying more than half the players.

Rugby League rules Wembley thanks to RLWC2013
Rugby League World Cup 2013 has beaten off competition from the
FA Cup Final, the Champions League Final, the NFL and several other major sporting and musical events, including The Killers and Bruce Springsteen, to be named Best Wembley Moment of 2013.
New Zealand’s thrilling clash with England, which was decided by Shaun Johnson’s try in the final minute, was nominated for the award, and it won
the popular vote from fans and members of the public as the year’s most memorable moment under the arch.

just out of curiosity.
no need to talk trash about how you'll only get 20k there, but what would you think?
Greatest sporting stadium in Australia, located in one of the worlds greatest sporting cities, so why not?
However it would make more sense to host the final **** a heartland population wouldn't it?
The MCG is a great ground for cricket and AF, but for rectangular sports it is not that great. If the NRL World Cup was played in australia the the final should be held in Australia's best rectangular stadium which is brisbanes suncorp.

Then how come every time we have a FIFA World Cup qualifier at the MCG it packs it out??
And why Suncorp when ANZ holds more people let alone the MCG?? No confidence in pulling a big crowd?

85,000 doesn't pack out the MCG?????? What planet are you from again, Mark? And tell me how that sort of crowd would fit into Suncorp??

Tell me I am wrong that there isn't room for about another 15,000 at the MCG. Room for 15,000 more doesn't make it "packed out"
MCG holds about 100,000
http://www.mcg.org.au/The%20MCG%20Stadi ... gures.aspx
The question is not how many Suncorp holds but your continual fail. 85,000 does not pack out the MCG. there was over 90,000 at the cricket today. I saw the crowd, it wasn't packed by any streatch of even your imagination.

WASN'T PACKED?????????????????
Good Good almighty, get some perspective!! ANYTHING over 80 percent of a large venue like the MCG is packed out!! There's a reason why at school if you get higher than 80 percent you get an "A". You get an "F" for such wild assumptions. And by the way, the core point IS Suncorp!! Just to clear that FAIL up!! It's why I made the comparison to begin with, not just with the MCG but with ANZ as well!!

Like I said previously, you AFL types have a strange idea of what packed out and sold out is. You just continue to perpetuate your stupidity.
The FAIL is that you said that "Then how come every time we have a FIFA World Cup qualifier at the MCG it packs it out??". To anyone that is realistic, room for 15,000 people does NOT mean a placee is packed out

15,000 out of 100,000 IS packed out! And it's NOT the same as sold out by the way!
