Ahh no, keeping a player who can't play would be far worse. He paid for his wage in the first few months.
And the loss will be far bigger now he's gone! What, couldn't you AFLers train him? Isn't your training good enough?

Really? How do you take media attention away?

Re-read my post. I said the AFL hasn't lost an expansion team yet. Now re-read what you wrote in response to that, and you may understand my bewilderment.
What on
earth are you rambling about?
These are the AFL's expansion clubs:
Sydney Swans (just won the premiership)
Brisbane Lions (3peat, still averaging 20k fans during a dark patch)
West Coast Eagles (membership waiting list, higher average attendance than the Broncos)
Adelaide Crows (higher average attendance that the Broncos)
Fremantle (higher average attendance than the Broncos)
Port (clusterf*ck, but still a higher average attendance than all but 3 nRL teams)
Gold Coast (beat the titans first year, came close 2nd year)
GWS (higher average attendance than the raiders and ALMOST penriff)
Point out the
expansion team above that the AFL 'lost', which made my post 'full of shit'.

Well that's ok, you have 5 clubs on deaths door right now
Meanwhile, every NRL club just received $7 Million each + another $500k a few weeks back from Ch Nien, the $7 million will be every year minimum until the next TV rights come up.
Don't hold your breath xman

nRL has peaked on television. There is still plenty that the AFL can offer to boost the $ they receive from TV in the future. Monday night Football, Good Friday Football, Sunday night Football, twilight grand finals etc. But the big thing that will change come 2017 is that the AFL will likely produce and broadcast their own matches and show them on their website offering subscription packages. This way the AFL receives all revenue from advertisements and also through subscriptions. It's a big investment but luckily the AFL can afford it. Poor man's rugby will still be playing catch up in 20 years time... if it's even around then

It's well known that the more live games you have on TV, the less the networks are willing to pay. Why do you think 9 loves to delay the Sunday game? It's because they can put ads in wherever and lead it into their news bulletin at 6. The AFL sacrificed more money from 7 for demanding live coverage on Friday and Saturday nights. But the AFL did it for the fans, the nRL does it for themselves, the greedy pigs.

Deaths door?
Which clubs are these?
The average nRL club makes less than 20m per year. The average AFL club around 35-40m per year.

Vatmans club now run by the biggest gimp to ever grace ozzy Tv 1
Izzy >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> gone, yep thats 2 (even Carro agrees with this one'

)
The Brions are bleeding money left right and centre makes it 3.
The swinnies from Sydney are doing it tough even though they just won the (flag

) Premiership making it 4.
The Gold Coast Gazza's would be 5, they're pitiful, but not GWS pitiful (yet

)
You could probably add Australia's biggest whore to the list as well in sporting terms, they're always looking for a bit of cash, so make it 6 and put down the Not North Melbourne/West Sydney/Canberra/ACT/Gold Coast/Tasmania Kangawhoos.
Tell me Xman, how much money does it cost to prop just those 6 clubs up a year including of all the little goodies 4 of the clubs have received over the various years and the funding that goes into these places underneath?
