Earth <> RL Heartland. Proven fact.
Reviewer two's comments and recommendation:The claim is clearly absolute rubbish in the context of sport and the claimant should be publicly flogged for being a monumental twat. However, the context of the claim, as presented by the claimant in a number of very articulate posts, is actually true. The greatest failure in this case was the moronic challenger who failed to understand the intended context correctly and charged ahead with a bogus and unwinnable challenge without requesting further clarification of the context.
My recomendation: the claimant be awarded a "Best and Smartest" point.
Final decision: The Claimant (King Eliagh) be awarded a bestest and smartest point. The Claimant clearly made the claim in jest but was cautious not to provide a claim which was bogus by vaguely indicating that the context was not sport but planetary. The challenger, clearly busy with other business, only provided a dictionary explanation and a poorly worded argument rather than going back and checking the original thread for indicators of sports context. The claimant stuck to his guns on the planetary context, managing to prove its validity in the claim.
My recommendation: The Claimant be awarded a bestest and smartest point

Not that I want to begin the dangerous precedent of justifying BS file decisions, but in reality the definition I provided actually helps the claimants case. This BS claim should serve as an example for other challengers: make sure you understand the full context of the claim before challenging! Don't challenge anything that is ambiguous or you risk losing.NSWAFL wrote:I appeal on the grounds that there is only ONE valid translation for the phrase "Earth = RL Heartland", and that is the one you gave in the OP. There is no other interpretation that could possibly be taken seriously. To take Dunce's alternative translation seriously in any way is a joke and should be revoked. Also as Dunce is involved in this BS file on either side he should not be involved in the review. Strictly speaking as the caller, Xman, neither should you. But that's hard to maintain as the only mod.
I'm with you. Was a ridiculous thing for KE to say in the first place and he is trying to be tricky to get out of it. Parra is using the same tactics.NSWAFL wrote:No, this is a BS decision! I wish to lodge an appeal.
Ambiguous? I'm sorry, Xman, but I totally disagree. There is nothing ambiguous about "Earth = RL Heartland". Nothing at all. It is clearly claiming that the dominant sport on planet Earth is rugby league. There is no other interpretation. No ambiguity or anything even resembling it. And I add that just above, Beaussie agrees with me and he is the forum boss. Dunce has fooled you and I ask that you reconsider your position and treat his interpretation as complete and utter bushwah because that's what it is.Xman wrote:Not that I want to begin the dangerous precedent of justifying BS file decisions, but in reality the definition I provided actually helps the claimants case. There is an obvious interpretation for it and that is the earth is RL heartland because the earth is the only place it's played. I know it's silly but it's still fact and if I'm going to be consistent with decisions where there are more than one interpretation this is one of them. He knew what he said and why he said it. Obviously he knows the RL isn't the number one game on earth. It's my fault for challenging the claim without being more specific. I accept full responsibility and will be careful next time.NSWAFL wrote:Ambiguous? I'm sorry, Xman, but I totally disagree. There is nothing ambiguous about "Earth = RL Heartland". Nothing at all.
