We have a 5 year naming rights with Toyota for 200m.
Well, there we have it, AFL wins as we all expected =D> =D>

this thread is about the broadcast rights & who got the most

How can you not be quoting naming rights you bellend. They are wrapped up mysteriously with the digital rights.I wonder why they did that.NRL subterfuge.(look that up dave)

I didn't you wombat molestor
I took a portion of our telstra deal (180 to 200 million ) ... out
& we whopped yuz
whopped yuz good

I guess the same could be asked of the VFL & Toyota .. ?

2. its never been about who has the most, .

..... sure it has ... sure
3. learn to use the quote function
when you learn to add up properly ... I will

Wombat molester Fuck your sharp Dave. Must of went to the Ted bullpit school of wit. Now let's speak the truth Mr Pants on fire. The subterfuge(glad you looked that up)was in the fact that the numbers weren't separated. Ours were. Now until you get some proof Dave we have to go with the financial review. 50 million Dave once you separate naming rights which must be close to AFL. That's all you get Dave until a more reputable source is found.

Hmm lots of fronts? oh you must mean tv rights? wait is 1.025 bigger than 1.098 billion? I never can remember. Is the AFLs 155 million telstra deal without naming rights better or worse than the NRL 150 million WITH naming rights? Is the AFLs 23.2 million radio rights going to be beaten by the NRls 2 million radio figure? But you got us good on NZ rights though.
Thats without the obligatory references to crowds, members, non media rights revenue, playing numbers, and hell even tv viewing figures from 2012.
For you, it all hinges on the NZ deal being fucking massive.
Take a deep breath, it's only footy.

NRL max according to dave
1.025
Online/naming rights 180
Kiwis 150
total 1.35 billion
AFL 1.253 + 100 million naming rights (will be redone next year)
1.353 billion
We win
The funny Part in all this is that we were not meant to get close to the AFL deals a year ago Pies what happened?????

The AFL back in there Box were they belong...well done commissioners.... =D> =D> .
NRL have there Mojo back after a decade of the worst Code War seen in this country.

Yes your TV revenue exceeded expectations, but your FTA coverage failed dismally. One live FTa game a week until 2018 is laughable. But lets face it, the NRL is a self proclaimed "TV sport". If you didnt make decent coin from TV youd be totally rooted. God knows you're still miles behind on club and non media revenue.

RL has been at war with union since the beginning, they then had the SL war at the wrong time when Union was there for the picking. Now union is pro but at the same time, all those things that held RL back before the SL war have more or less gone. Now the last bit has been kicked out, News Limited and Ch9 (9 in regards to next time).
If RL doesn't make a go of it this time, the game deserves to die (in Aus at least).

What's this about a 15 year head start?
Most people, including me, said the NRL would get around 900m. However, I was always referring to the Australian component of their deal since thats what we compare when looking at ratings, so in the end that estimate was about 20% off. Remember that most people said the AFL wouldnt reach 1b either yet they receiver 25% more.
Oh and the NRL are still miles being in revenue since they earn stuff all from non media revenue.

even with 200m expansion costs the AFL will be hundreds of millions ahead in 5 years time.

yeah , no .... most singletballers including you .. said we'd get 700 mill

BS , who cares what you were talking about , it was TV revenue from where ever it comes from , don't blame us because the VFL gets none from anywhere outside of Australia .. & anyway ... u yr still about 45% off ... so not even close

as has been said numerous times , the NRL's costs are considerably less .. & when they are factored in , it actually leaves the NRL with between 100 & 125 million more in disposable income over the 5 years , then the VFL
game ova

Yeah, the local country ARs league has lower costs too.
The NRLs costs are less because theyre a far less professional, less significant league.
