Hey Wookie
If we don’t have Fox ratings, what do we really read into FTA - particularly given sat delays for fta for AFL and likely move of AFL fans to Fox cause of this ?

Theres likely to be some AFL migration to Fox, but we wont really know the siginficance thereof until we get more numbers from Foxtel - I expect more numbers around gather round/magic round time.
NRL fans will assume the status quo is maintained on Fox - and they likely retain a lead there, but Id like to see some hard data.

how'd we go for our sunday footy ?
the fumbling **** show from Vicdopia
399K on Ch 7 metro & regionals combined
now.... not sure how many games that covered , certainly 2 ( 1 nationally ) probably 3 ... but every state & territory got some fumbling , bumbling & missing yesterday
pretty appalling numbers
NRL
528K on Ch 9 ... near a million when its all said & done
very tidy , very tidy indeed.

So this is absolute smashing (AFL rely to much on there Big Clashes on Thursday and Friday with Big clubs (after that its downhill)
So AFL had matches to 3 games that day for the 399k figure
Melbourne, Sydney & Adelaide had the (Kangas v Demons Clash
Perth and Sydney had the both West Coast v Brisbane and Fremantle v Sydney
QLD had the Lions v West Coast game.
3 games involving 6 teams manage 399k audience on FTA and 7 Plus

Zero overlap as well
1pm ish
3.30pm ish
6pm ish
clean air for all 3
I think everyone bar WA got the 2nd game from melbourne ...& one other , depending on where you were. WA got the 1st & 3rd
abysmal numbers

yeah nah. once again the NRL fraternity fails at understanding the AFL splits.
the early game wasnt included in the national rating, and separately rated 154,000.
Brisbane didnt have the North/Dees game.
All 3 games rated 553k average.

So from the available audience numbers, the AFL had a bigger Sunday tv audience at 553,000 compared to the NRL 528,000. Got it, cheers Wookie.

Yeah but not anyway Id gloat over. I mean three games to one shown nationally. Ive often wondered how AFL ratings would go if they pulled the NRL thing of showing the same games nationally.

We only have data for 2 AFL games not 3
And my point remains, more Australians watched the AFL. Suck it up princess.
