I think some clearly doubt:

If the AFL can get second then I think its doing very well especially considering how unpopular it was in the 80s & early 90s
Aussie Rules ios clearly second already in QLD.
You are deluded. Lions directly up against 2 Brisbane sides and the crowd far better than most expected….it proved several things, **** them:truthbomber wrote: Sat Mar 25, 2023 8:36 amup againt yawnion & sooker ?Quolls2019 wrote: Fri Mar 24, 2023 10:36 pmAfter tonight's crowd, against the strongest challenge possible, Australian Rules proved they are clearly the 2nd code in Brisbane.![]()

The lions can compete against both NRL teams and at the same time.
There is a big base of Lions fans in Brisbane.
80,000 plus at Friday night football shows there is plenty of support and room for both codes.
People do go to NRL games except in Sydney…….and Melbourne.
The only thing it proved is that the lions can get a very good crowd against Brisbanes NRL game of the year.truthbomber wrote: Sat Mar 25, 2023 9:34 amIm not a fumbler so I'm not deludedQuolls2019 wrote: Sat Mar 25, 2023 8:59 amYou are deluded. IMHO Lions are 2nd……Dolphins may well surpass them, but too early to rate them just yet.leeroy*NRL* wrote: Sat Mar 25, 2023 3:32 pmi practically put Lions at 4 or 5th in popularity of clubs in QLD> not the actual code.Quolls2019 wrote: Sat Mar 25, 2023 7:38 amI think some clearly doubt:

AFL AND NRL both made errors with the GOLD COAST>>Fred wrote: Sat Mar 25, 2023 4:26 pmI’d have dolphins as second given its an NRL town - but Lions aren’t exactly struggling for support it recognition. I’ll tell you who is stone motherless last - the Titans - they are so on the nose on the GC. The Suns have a decent base - but are not disliked like the Titans. I’d say there’d be other NRL more popular than the Titans on the GC - they just aren’t liked. But start winning and that will change I am sure. They love a winner here.
