You're start to sound like the great waffling Fred who is currently holding out in the jungle with the other fumblers who have sensibly jumped off the sinking ship lolololololololololol.

Rather than rave on with mad hatter theories on I suggest you check out the Fox ratings for the fumbling games yesterday. Ugly, ugly, ugly!!!!!!!!!
which is what happens when 4 games, and 12 hours of AFL, are shown within 6 hours, on STV and FTA. Concurrent games dont increase the audience, they split them, so ratings for all 4 games suffer. This is the very point of the argument Terry. The comps schedules on the whole are not comparable

if you want to talk about most watched, both codes get around 120m 'ratings' per year, yet the AFL goes for 50% more time. So the AFL is the most watched by around 50%. Now that is a flogging!

And if that was the case LOL the networks wouldn't buy shows that went just half an hour.

they do buy shows that are half an hour, but they pay according to both ratings and how long those ratings are achieved for. ACA and home and away are two 30 minute shows that spring to mind

well not if you're talking about 'most watched'. If I, as a sports fan, have 4 hours free to watch sport today I am only counted as watching 1 and 1/3 games of AFL, yet if I watched NRL I am counted as watching 2 games. Which was more valuable to their network? Which sport was 'most watched'? Any logical person would say they were the same. Yet on ratings totals the NRL looks like it's ahead. Clearly for most watched, the length of telecast is a major factor

Geez pal you're like a one armed man trying to swim 100m. Round and round in circles ya go making no forward progress but slapping the water like a madman lololololololololol.

We've heard all these mad theories time and time again. Do we really have to go through 'em repeatedly week after week?

I realise ya goin' alone here pal but give it break for your own health my friend - lest you'll find yaself in the jungle with all the other holdouts - bloodied, bruised, hopeless and helpless!!!!

You wanna see someone struggling? Look in the mirror Terry. You have post after post of childish insults and not a single rebuttal. If my opinion is incorrect maybe tell us all why........ Just saying "you're struggling", "it's rubbish" doesnt cut it

I destroyed this argument last time
All I got was but but but .

If you apply the loony theory that the AFL goes for 1 1/2 times the length of an NRL game so therefore is watched more ....then RL is by far the most valuable sport & got by far the bigger deal .
RL got a little less than the AFL for far far far less screen time .

AFL got about 400 mill a year for approx 23,750 minutes of game time (198 games)
NRL got about 380 mill a year for approx 15,600 minutes of game time 192 + 3 SOO)

Wow RL is far more valuable

So NRLOONL is this true .
Please answer without but but but but but but but butting

The AFL accept less money because they want to control their schedule and have 27 hours of sport shown in only 18 hours. Therefore its hardly surprising they are only paid a TV rights that reflects the value of 18 hours per week.
