You'd think they'd have to... Between being heavily invested in the NRL and the Cricket for the next few years, you'd think they'd want to pretend they're at least getting some bang for their buck?

Whitewash. SOO was the only winner for the NRL. You were comprehensively flogged in the season proper, and the finals, and the GF.

So just to repeat myself for the 100th time
OUR SPORT IS MORE THAN the H&A comps
We gain with SOO& rep game s
That also impact on our domestic season .
Over & over you fumblers over the years love to point out the negatives attached to being a multi tiered sport( ratings crowds down for about 9 weeks due to SOO )
Yet then want to ignore what SOO brings to the ratings table .

Comparing SOO to AFL is pointless because we dont have a comparable format. All it proves is the SOO format is more popular (on TV) than individual games in a home and away season, including yours.

Are we comparing AFL and rugby league or AFL and NRL?
Because by that logic if you want to throw in SOO why not add the superleague, oh wait they already got a clown who does that.

The nrlol gf was flogged again by the AFL in prime time! The nrlols gf should have won easy!
Every game in the finals and nearly every game through out the year where the games have been shown at similar times!
The crowds AFL dominated premium priced tickets compared to bargain bin prices and free tickets
But but SOO
Where do all those fans go for everything thing else league

Everytime they get beat with AFL VS NRL, they go to desperate measures to add a non NRL event, SOO for example.
OK then we can add auskick and AFL 9s for participation by that logic and they will go into meltdown, full you guys reek of hypocrisy.
Even though if we didn't add that we'd still win
