Back on topic isn't it quite amusing, the AFL supporters whinge and whine that some nrl supporters wont own up to proof and here, right before their eyes lies indisputable proof the AFL is, to the point of ghastly, a lopsided competition. What twats

Basketcase league of 2014 folks! You'll get ur updates from CEO of the basketcase league, yours Truly :D

Shut your yapper crapper. you're not really contributing and should be on a ban for losing the bet
Raider I think the title of this thread could be changed. The term ''gulf'' I think is good but slightly misleading... I prefer the term chasm and looked up some definitions, the most pertinent two of which I've quoted below.
"Gulf" is used metaphorically to mean a separation between two things with nothing in between. A chasm is a very evocative, dramatic word, implying a very deep, steep hole or crack in the earth. Chasm means impassible depth, gulf does not.
A chasm is more menacing since it is more difficult to cross than a gulf. For a chasm that's 300 m wide with equal height on both sides, you need at least a hot air balloon to cross. Whereas a gulf that's 300m wide can be crossed by swimming.
Because at this point, I really don't see this ''gap'' between the codes as passable for the AFL. It would take drastic structural changes and big decisions made i.e. a culling of teams. Ol Fat cat Andy $$$ Demetriou is sitting pretty making salary increases for himself at will. He aint gunna be making any potentially disturbing decisions anytime soon and in fact, given the AFL supporters loyalty which borders on that of a hysterical teenage beiber fan, Fat cat andy's in that role for atleast another 20 years! Therefore there's a chasm between the codes, completely impassable through ordinary means.

You shut your stupid hole, Eliagh. I didn't lose the bet because Dave didn't prove his statement correct yet.

You're not contributing so please, shut yer pie hole until you can contribute with a decent argument rather than constant whiney arse yelps. Just because you don't know how to express terms of a bet, and yourself, properly doesn't mean we need to put up with it.
I know, I can be a fairly strict and seemingly mean teacher but its for your betterment cwapper.
You lost the bet

I didn't lose the bet and you can't contribute to anything so don't preach anything like that to me or anyone else. You have no fricking authority and you know it. You couldn't teach Tom Jones to sing.

Yes you lost it matey, fair and square. Just forget about it ok? We all know what happened. You couldn't use language to express what you weally wanted. It's ok mate, but you should really honour your mistake and get back on topic. In fact, if you keep things off topic I'll have to report you soon. Build a bridge and get over it my lil tyke. *pats cwapper on head
Now back on topic. Yes the chasm between the codes remains, as it has for more than 3 years now in terms of competitiveness between teams i.e. eveness of the 'competition', i.e. credibility of the national leagues. I'm not sure the chasm is widening, last season it slightly crept in a touch in my honest opinion, but only slightly. This year I'm worried it may expand again. What's others' thoughts?

No, Eliagh, I did not lose the bet because Dave concentrated on a particular section of the year when a proper average is over the WHOLE year! And don't fricking tell me what's on topic and what's not! When a comment is made that I want to respond to I'll respond to it!

Dave won the bet by deliberate deception. I believe he therefore forfeited

No you lost the bet because you were stoopid cwapper. deal with is and pissssss orrrf.
The topic here is the chasm between the codes in terms of competitiveness and I've been trying my darndest to keep on it. You would be well served to do the same cwapper or i'kll have you reported ya lil cwapper.
Oh and Xman? You have no adjudication powers in this one chump. As per the beaussie GWs first crowd fiasco bet, the precedent, set by yourself and beaussie is first in best dressed to be adjudicator. And that was MOI
Cwapper lost the bet, clear as day. Now pisssssorrrrf cwapper!
