Heartbroken South Sydney fans are expected to flock to Sydney Olympic Park for a fire sale of grand final tickets, prompting fears the year's biggest game will be marred by thousands of empty seats.
One of Sydney's leading scalpers has told Fairfax Media that since the Rabbitohs' dramatic loss to Manly in last weekend's preliminary final, the market had become flooded with unwanted, cut-price tickets.
He said: ''The best available diamond tickets have dropped from $350 to less than $200, while the cheapest upstairs nosebleed seats are not being shifted anywhere. Come Sunday, ANZ Stadium will be like confetti alley with Souths fans trying to dump their gear.''

It's almost worth watching the coverage just to see the crowd. Almost.

I'll be watching if home ... Flicking possibly to see the score but as no storm not interested really. May be taking young fella to laser tag though or fishing. BBQ on the beach and then fishing could be good.

Only a couple of hours from the start of the game and there are over 150 ticket sales still available on eBay, with many of the sales involving multiple tickets
http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_trks ... &_from=R40
Many are selling for well under $100.
Meanwhile last week:
AFL Grand Final tickets selling for up to $2900

Cheap tickets on EBay? How desperate are they to get rid of them? What does THAT tell you?

Want to try that again? 81k after a desperate rush for fans to sell their tickets at rock bottom prices. No sellout despite easy and cheap availability.
Oh dear

I saw a report just now that said that Manly fans came out and traveled for a change. Probably because of the cheap tix!
