Every clubs crowds rise and fall with their on field performance, except the storm of course!

The swans home crowds will rise again when their home grounds renovations are complete. What's the storms excuse?

Swans made the GF in 2005 and 2006. This corresponded with their peak attendances. They then slumped to 12th in 2009. They've starting rising again but their ground renovations have stopped the rise in crowds because of many sellout crowds. Once these renovations are finished they will rise again.

Swans made the GF in 2005 and 2006. This corresponded with their peak attendances. They then slumped to 12th in 2009. They've starting rising again but their ground renovations have stopped the rise in crowds because of many sellout crowds. Once these renovations are finished they will rise again.

so
2010 they made the finals .... but their crowds were still down on 2009
& they made them again in 2011... but their crowds were down again on 2010 & considerably lower then 2009
&
the rennos didn't start til this year so thats not a factor

can you point me to where your statement here for the years 2009 to 2011 is accurate ?

They were severely effected by renovations this year.

The storms have dropped despite consistent GF appearances.

Because having a major redevelopment had nothing to do with the Swans minor decline in crowds this year, did it Raiderdave? Dumbarse.

Crowds and memberships tend to lag a year or so behind performance on the field. According to all NRL supporters on LU, and the BOM, 2011 was especially wet in Sydney causing a reduction in crowd figures. Yet they still remained higher than any Sydney NRL team.

The Cowboys, Broncos, Storm and Tigers also had a reduction in crowd averages in 2011 despite all making the finals.

And how did it not affect crowds despite there being sell outs at the reduced capacity ground? The Swans v Hawks game would have probably gotten 35-40k, and the Swans Cats game probably 35k. Fucking dumbarse

The Storm seem to make at least the prelims every year except the year they were caught cheating, and still can't crack the 15k average! Pathetic

Listen, X, the Swans has plenty of notice about the SCG work. And yet they kep the majority of their home games there, right? How stupid can a club be? What's wrong with ANZ?

What? Its a brand new purpose built stadium and they can barely half fill it!

The Swans didnt move to ANZ because its not their home ground and their fans prefer the SCG. Plus ANZ is used for RL so some games may have clashed.

I can't tell if this is sarcasm? Is this sarcasm? Because logically speaking if you average only 12k in a 30k seat stadium, the problem isn't limited capacity....
