I was at the first traditional coll v Ess Anzac day game at the MCG in 1995. It's been held at that ground every year, and between the same sides.

If it was nothing to do with which code played first, why did you say this?

How does this relate to the storm copying the successful AFL formula?

Remember the proof I posted showed the NRl staging multiple games between different teams on Anzac day at different venues in front of sometimes very small crowds. They now follow the AFL model.

He's determined to make you admit that the AFL copied the NRL in 1995 when Collingwood and Essendon first started their ANZAC Day traditional match, Beaussie. So let's put this into a better perspective by asking Parra the following;

1. Was there a minute's silence prior to the 1926 game between St George and Eastern Suburbs?
2. Was the Last Post played by a soldier from the Australian Army?
3. Was the RSL formally represented?
4. Who won the medal for the man who most exemplified the ANZAC spirit? (skill, courage, self-sacrifice, teamwork and fair play)

And if the answers to the first three questions is "Yes" it must include evidence. Ditto the name of the player who won the medal.

The NSWRL held full rounds over the years and at times held 1 game.

Why does it matter anyway?

By the time the VFL caught on, RL had done it every which way but loose.

Answer my questions Parra, and then you'll get the idea of what the ANZAC tradition really is!
