So why are they so accommodating now with funding for stadiums etc?
it was a federal Govt committee
the present NSW State Govt is honouring the previous NSW Govts lame brained aggreements with giggleball
Seriously that Kenealy bitch should of been shot
singletball should enjoy them while they can .... there will be no more
Lol

A federal committee tried to get the AFL to start a team in Tasmania instead of NsW.

No surprise the report was so tainted.

And I would need to check, but now even Tasmania has gone a little cool on the idea as a result of these figures coming out of New South Wales that show that the AFL was right and the committee was wrong.

I heard that, Topper, and I also heard that the committee now regret writing the report.

Try and dispute that, Dave! With facts!

The ridiculously biased and flawed Senate report has been bagged by just about everyone bar the Tasmanian media and RL fans (why the latter make mention of it is strange indeed).

The AFL is proceeding with a team in western Sydney. What a waste of taxpayer dollars the Senate committee report was considering its relevance = zero and impact = zero.

Oh dear, the Coalition government supports redeveloping the Showgrounds for the Giants too.

We now have ANZ Stadium, Blacktown Olympic Park and Skoda Stadium. Not bad, not bad at all. Cheers NSW taxpayers. You'll see the benefits of this investment on gameday.

For the record, it was mentioned at a gathering that I attended that included some members of the Parliamentary press gallery. Not the sort of thing that gets media attention. Not that a burp machine will believe me, but that doesn't bother me in the slighest.
