Last time i heard they were around 14 million in Debt that was a few years ago..
any idea what it is around now?
The Lions have 8m in debt as of Oct 30 last year, due to the Springfield development
The Company has an $8.0 million (2022: $8.0 million) cash advance facility with Westpac expiring 31 December 2024, that is secured by a General Security over all of the Company’s existing and future assets and undertakings. The facility is also secured by a guarantee and indemnity issued by the AFL expiring 31 January 2025. The average interest rate on cash advanced was 4.38% (2022: 1.58%). The amount drawn at 31 October 2023 was $8 million (2022: $8 million)
GWS and Giants cannot carry debt, they are free for all paid organisation year in year out.
They can carry debt like any other business. The Suns did have a 1.59m loan with NAB, this has been replaced with a 1.5m dollar loan from the AFL. The Giants have a 9.9m loan from the AFL.

Predictions on AFL handouts to
the Vietnam War Clubs
sitting at around $65mill for both clubs last year.
do i hear 70 Million ?
I understand it was a bit more then that in 2023
around 70 mill ... 36 for the grants & 34 for the thuns
surprisingly .... at numb 3 right up their bums.... was the Wions on 33 mill
Fucking yawn. Like usual, you understand fuck all and make it up the rest. The figures are bad enough without you overstatiung them
2023 AFL Distributions
Gold Coast 28.88m (Suns Report) 33.114m (AFL Report)
GWS 32.18m (Giants Report) 32.494m (AFL Report)
Brisbane 27.44m (Lions Report) 27.724m (AFL Report)
The differences come out due to the centralised nature of league revenues, including sponsorships, promotional work and ground management fees (Suns).
The base club entitlement was 11.42m in 2023. These three clubs received on average 19.69m over the base distribution.
that another roy morgan survey there ?
enough but but but fumbler ....the 2 GFs in a row wions are in deep doo doo & have been for 20 years .. & it doesn't look like its improving much

8 Million, that is nothing really in the scheme of things, i think they will get a huge splurge of cash from the GF Win
which will flow through, 2025 could be there biggest yet
