Bonsoir Mes Amis,

enough of that frenchie talk

my name is John. originally from Melbourne (that hurt saying that) but lived most of my "life" in Sydney. Have spent the last year over here in the beautiful Pacific North West, well, the Republic of Cascadia (being British Columbia, Washington and Oregon).

my family will tell you that it took me a while to find my niche in the VFL/AFL but eventually settled with the Swannies in 1993 and have been loyal since. love my soccer too. Rangers of Glasgow are the team that ive supported since i was old enough to understand soccer.

in league, its the Killer Chooks.

had a brief spell with the NSL, but like many others got burnt with Northern Spirit and ill never get into club soccer in australia again. still hope and dream the national team make the world cup. just once. please. just once....

since ive been over here, i got intoxicated by Hockey. i love my canucks in the west and the habs in the east.

also like other north american sports. ive followed the Seattle SuperSonics for a couple of years now, and hence, follow the Seahawks in the NFL and the Mariners in the MLB. although, when I moved to Vancouver BC (as opposed to Vancouver WA), i had a roomy from NYC who was a mad Yankees fan. just to piss her off I bought a RedSox cap, and well, we all know what happened there!!!!!!!

lets hope that golden touch crosses over to the swannies!!!! (yeah right)

(man as i types this i am being harrassed by my mates cat whose in heat.........the poor b!!ch)

had a weird dream about the Queen last night.......nice gal!

I'm assuming you mean Deborah Harry.

I wrked with a the keyboarder of a Canadian dance group called Front & Centre. They did a "heart of glass" remake which I quite like.

Overall their sound is very like Eurasia. see if you can check em out Jm before you leave...

went to a few antique stores in Tacoma today, and there was this one pic on the wall at one place where it caught some dude screwing around behind his wifes back. this is back in Johnny Howards era, the 50's, so this wasnt a good thing.

so i read the article and the photo was taken in a hotel in Brisbane!!!!!!

small world eh?!

crocman, the word on the royals in Canada is nothing but favourable. i figure it being because the one thing, apart from obsessing about Hockey that sets them apart from the Yanks is being part of the Commonwealth. Well, except for QuÃ©bec. but thats another story. (dont be singing Maple Leaf Forever in that part of the country!!!!)

im off to Thailand in july for the asian cup too. yay!

as for league (not my original code) i have grown a very big soft spot for the gold coast titans. us broncos haters in brisbane have been aching for competition for ages. still hanging on with the roosters, the game later this year at carrara will be weird. (also the same weekend as the lions v swans game!)

but nothing will shake me from my AFL red and white roots. I LOVES MY SWANNIES!
