For the record, while pussycats club may have gone up 10,000 members in the last 5 years, Collingwoods memberships has risen by 21,000 in the last 4 years. (up from 57,000 to 78,000). at the same time, Collingwood receives more in membership revenue per member than any other club in Melbourne, and ahead of the average season ticket of $180.00.

Also not on this list but ahead of every NRL club are the Queensland Reds rugby union club with more than 36,000 members according to their website this afternoon.
Hey Wookie - I saw a post that says swans membership is now at 36780 or 38000 where do I find the actual figure?
Its amazing how real dreams can seem.

Im not sure where that website is sourcing its 38k numbers from. Its not from swans twitter where they make their announcements, the last of which was on March 24

Image

There have been no official updates via its website, swans official twitter, swans support twitter or facebook since.

Actually having checked its Freo and Swans members, the damn aflmembership numbers site is guessing them - "estimated numbers" - ffs. Awesome reference work.
Usually that site runs behind in updating numbers - that's why I asked earlier.

For the 2013 season the Penrith Panthers annual turnover almost doubled the AFL's wealthiest club - Collingwood

And yet the Football club itself had less than half the revenue of Collingwood when you remove Collingwoods gaming revenue.

Penrith District Rubgy League Football Club
- Revenue - $20.718 million
- Sponsorship - $5.428 million
- Gate reciepts - $1.6 million
- Merchandise - $341,000

Property Trust Income - $4.3 million
NRL Grant - $6.81 million.

Collingwood Football Club
- Revenue (without Gaming) $52.2 million ($75 million inc)
- Sponsorship $19.65 million
- match returns 1.83 million
- Membership $16.7 million
- AFL Distribution $12.56 million
but
Collingdon always include their gaming revenue & you choose to leave it out
is it because when Penrith includes theirs it makes them & you look like a tool ? 8-[

total revenues for both organisations

Collingdon about 74 Million

Penrith about 142 Million
RL SOO II 4.194 Million veiwers
RL SOO I 4.068 Million
NRL GF 3.968 Million
VFL Grand Final 3.620 Million
SOO III 3.364 Million
NRL Prelim 2.219 Million
Kangaroos V NZ 1.214 Million

Well I'll include it when the Penrith District Rugby League Football Club does? Deal? At present that doesnt happen. What I posted is more relevant in terms of their success as a football club in any case.

Strictly speaking for both organisations, the Penrith District Rugby League Football Club Annual Report reflects the revenues of that organisation, not that of its Parent Organisation, the Panthers Group. On the other hand, the Collingwood Football Club Annual Report reflects the revenues of that organisation, and it has no parent.
big black panther as its logo
142 Million in revenue

about half of the above

Value:
Penrith Panthers - 46.2m

Collingwood- 39.1m

As far as revenue goes

Haigh says he was surprised when the Penrith Panthers emerged as the most valuable brand;
it came out on top because of the methodology used by Brand Finance in compiling its list. The Panthers are owned by the big Panthers Leagues Club, which turned over more than any other football-associated entity last year; it had revenue of $145.3 million and $84.8 million of this was from its poker machines.

Haigh suggests that Brand Finance considers revenue from poker machines to have less importance to brand value calculations than revenue from other sources, such as team shirts or branded caps. But the sheer weight of money flowing through the Panthers Group pushes it to the top of the list.

Second is the Collingwood Football Club, which is the biggest AFL club in the country in terms of revenue. It’s newly published financial results for the 2013 season show that Collingwood pulled-in $74.3 million this year.

But as the Brand expert states MY PRECIOUS PANTHERS CAME OUT ON TOP - NUMERO ONO - THE MOST VALUABLE BRAND NAME, Regardless of your spin and excuses it won't change. The results are in - silver - again. And the Canterbury club was no. 3 on that list .

By the way league clubs are established by football clubs.

A lot has changed and a lot more will =D>
